Remember when everyone was freaking out when Trump went missing for 3+ days a little over a year ago, late Aug 2025? You know, when the Dems and the press were demanding to know if he was in the hospital?
Biden, not so much. Commander Applesauce could disappear for a week or two, and no one cared. It was the norm, not the exception.
Anyway, Xi, Putin, and Modi held a high-level SCO Summit in China from the end of Aug through the first days of Sept 2025.
Putin’s plane landed in Tianjin on the morning of Aug 31, 2025, for a banquet/SCO event that evening with Xi. Formal talks between the two followed on Sept 2nd, and the big military parade on Sept 3rd. Modi met with Xi on Aug 31 (and with Putin on Sept 1st). He did not attend the parade and left China on Sept 1st.
At least that was the public schedule.
Now, Trump famously went quiet Aug 27–29th and into the Labor Day weekend. The first clear public sighting after the multi-day stretch with no camera appearances (which began after the Aug 26th Cabinet meeting) was his being photographed playing golf on Sat, Aug 30th, at Trump National in Virginia with his grandchildren.
But was he? Or at least in the capacity of playing the hours-long whole round?
I mention all of this b/c one of Putin’s advisors, @kadmitriev, posted about the gathering twice. On Sept 1st, he shared a meme of a Bengal Tiger (India), a Bear (Russia), and a Panda (China) enjoying a meal. Then, on Sept 4th (See both below), he quote-posted himself with a modified version of the original meme that added an Eagle (USA), captioned:
“Imagine 🕊️” (peace dove)
That said, I believe there’s a puncher’s chance we were essentially told that Trump had slipped in and out of China on a secret mission (hence the disappearance and the resulting commotion) to meet with the three of them in private, away from the prying eyes of the world.
This would mean Trump may have left on the 30th after golf (or possibly earlier), flown overnight, met with them, and done a quick turn-and-burn back to the States. The infamous meme would then have represented the four of them meeting around Aug 31, 2025.
I realize this comes after Trump disappeared just days earlier. Still, that earlier quiet period could have been pre-planning or preparation for the meeting — a meeting we can infer from the secrecy would have been rather substantial if true.
It goes without saying that if this happened, those in on the deception would have included the Air Force One crew, his security detail, Trump himself, and perhaps an aide or two. The press pool wouldn't have known for obvious reasons.
It’s not even out of the question that he left earlier than immediately after golf. Heck, he could have already been gone and used the double from the onset. And if you weren't aware, Trump has been accused of using golf body doubles before (one widely circulated example is here:

FWIW, there's more than one of them.
Some will scoff at the notion; I get that. But the fact is that leaders around the world have used doubles for security and operational reasons for a very long time (Putin definitely uses them). And with the much larger global stakes at play, the grand effort required to pull off the deception may well have been of the utmost importance.
Of course Trump still plays (and loves) golf. But it’s also a potential move he could make when certain things arise, and he needed a window of time where he is free to do something else, entirely off the grid.
Ok, so as for the Truth Social posts during that stretch — he could have done those from anywhere (or had them handled by a trusted aide).
All told, the entirely out-of-the-ordinary absence, combined with Putin’s aide posting the updated “Imagine 🕊️” meme on Sept 4th that added the American eagle to the table, is what makes this interesting.
