"The Day of Two Noons"
On November 18, 1883, at exactly 12:00 noon (standardized time), telegraph signals were sent out across the country. Railroad stations and jewelers set their clocks to the new standard time. For the eastern part of each new time zone, local solar time had already passed noon. When clocks were rolled backward to adjust to the new standard time zone, the clock struck noon all over again.
While the change was initially intended only for the railway industry, society rapidly adapted to "railroad time." Almost all cities and towns quickly followed suit and reset their public clocks. This massive shift laid the legal groundwork for standard time, which was officially recognized by the federal government decades later in the Standard Time Act of 1918.

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, “Thus saith the LORD, ‘Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.’”

‘And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.’

‘And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that He hath spoken;

Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward.”

So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

as proof that God would grant him (Hezekiah) 15 more years of life.

The Day Out Of Time

But what do the Mayans have to say about July 25?
Well, the answer is many things. According to this culture, July 25 was a very important day, probably the most relevant on their entire calendar. According to to the Mayan Tradition, every year, the July 25th is the last day of the galactic year in the Mayan Galactic calendar. They counted 13 moons of 28 days in one year= 364 Days. The extra day, the 365th day is July 25th: the ‘Day Out Time.

It's the final day of the Mayan Calendar... the eve of the Mayan New Year dawns on July 26th.

Secrets from the Galactic Time

The Maya taught us the secrets of galactic time. They were aware of the limiting linear cycles to which all of us humans are undergoing, but though their exquisite way to relate to time, they revealed to us the multidimensionality of time. It is this multidimensionality aspect of time that constitutes the dynamic that allows us to connect with this “cosmic time.
 
Why a Day Outside Time?

Considering the Mayan count of 13 Moons count of 28 days, we have 364 solar days and the Day Out of Time acts as an additional factor in the rise in the count. Always falling on the 25th of July from the Gregorian calendar, the Day Out of Time is for the 13 Moon calendar as an “equivalent” to our new year.
