This is one of the broadest inflation surges the world has seen since the pandemic.
Oil above $100 because of the Iran war is making it even worse.
Every country that imports oil is now importing inflation through the Strait of Hormuz.
Central banks that already hiked are hiking again.
The ones that paused are reversing course. The Fed still has not moved while U.S. inflation is now at 3.8% and climbing again.
The last time central banks called inflation “temporary,” U.S. inflation eventually surged to 9%.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police issued an emergency shelter-in-place alert for residents within a defined area in south Austin due to an ongoing law enforcement incident, authorities said.
An emergency alert was issued at around 3:22 p.m. Sunday. The alert instructed people located within the boundaries of South Slaughter Lane, East McKinney Falls Parkway, North Ben White Boulevard, and West Escarpment Boulevard to remain indoors until further notice.
Austin Police said they cannot confirm this shelter-in-place is related to the shootings at two local fire stations on Sunday morning.
