7th Chapter, a Crucial one. Strike must continue

Why I believe the 7th chapter is the most crucial one and strike should continue.

Dear colleagues I highly respect the courage we, Residents and Interns, have had for the past 2 months. We have passed so many challenges already and the worst is yet to come. We should still stand with our heads up to support the movement. The organized and structured moves by the EHPM and Team Debol were absolutely wonderful so far. Let's hope they'll continue with that energy till the end. I understand what it feels like to be in the position they're. The intimidation they face, the non stop inboxes with mis-informations mostly and and feeling like being misunderstood by their fellow colleagues. It's a total burnout if you ask me. Yet they stood firm. I admire them a lot ๐Ÿ™Œ

Let me remind you with one of Sun Tzu's art of war principles. Before that if anyone thinks that book is about war, don't be fooled, it teaches about survival in a game of life. Anyway It states like this

I believe this very principle is being used by the government officials including MOH. Why??? Because we are the ones who suffer when the movement prolongs since we do not have resources. Let's not forget we were unbeaten by all those intimidations, vacancies and even dismissals, yet we are now being inconsistent and volatile. Why? Because we do not have resources (I.e finance ). Why do you think Nurses and midwives at SPHMMC sign that apology letter and resume work ?? They fear they would be replaced and no salary for that month. See. RESOURCE . Why do you think Hawassa Residents and Interns are planning to resume work, Salary, RESOURCE.

So that is why I believe the 7th chapter of the movement is crucial. If we pass through this stage we might as well feel like winning already.

Finally, about the 7th chapter discussion agendas by the EHPM board, I found them way incompetent and Impractical. How on earth would they (administrations) allow us to work like that? It's not feasible. EHPM board should come up with better strategies.

My personal opinion for the 7th chapter is to continue the strike until formal negotiations (EHPM board, MOH or other gov't officials and Third party(most likely EHRC)) start. In that case we might consider partial strike otherwise resuming to work and activities on the 7th chapter is wrong and am afraid it will bury our movement once and for all.
