Mei-Khing Loo is een voormalig praktijkmanager van wie de 43-jarige echtgenoot van de verloskundige gynaecoloog van 21 jaar, dr. Yen-Yung Yap, in 2020 door zelfmoord stierf terwijl er een onderzoek liep door de Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Hij liet drie jonge kinderen achter. Een andere spreker die goed op de hoogte is van de zaak legde uit hoe Dr. Yap zijn broodwinning vernietigd zag omdat hij in 2015 en 2019 in Adelaide twee baby's ter wereld had gebracht met zuigkracht in plaats van met een tang.

Er was geen klacht bij AHPRA, geen rechtszaak, geen schade aan de baby's. In beide gevallen werd een 'subgalealeale bloeding' vermoed maar nooit gediagnosticeerd en de baby's werden binnen vijf dagen ontslagen en gingen naar huis. Een interne audit resulteerde in een AHPRA-melding.
