😍 I like... The use of "gern(e)", "mögen" and "schmecken"
🤔Today we will deal with the rules of use and the main meanings of these verbs, as well as learn useful info
🐧 We all love to do something!
In order to emphasize your passion for action, you must use the construction: verb + gern(e). In this case, the verb, of course, is conjugated, and gern(e) is placed at the end of the sentence. Gern(e) is translated into English as "gladly", "with pleasure".
× Ich schwimme gern - I like to swim / I swim with pleasure
× Er reist gerne - He likes to travel / He travels with pleasure
× Lesen Sie gerne? - Do you like to read / Do you read with pleasure?
🍔 We all like to eat something!
If we say that we love some kind of food, then in most cases the verb mögen is used. Actually, this is a modal verb and it has a lot of different meanings, but we need to remember: we use it with food and drink!
× Ich mag Pizza - I like pizza
× Magst du Kaffee? - Do you like coffee?
× Sie mögen diese Speise nicht. - They don't like this dish.

🤔🙄 What you need to pass B1 and B2
1️⃣ Learn and know many words.
The assignments are specifically designed so that if you read the text generally and miss minor words, you will definitely get it wrong. Or by some miracle you'll guess the correct answers. But it's more likely to be the former.
For the Lesen part, of course, there are some tips, but mostly it lies on your strategy. But without a broad vocabulary it's all useless. The more words you know, the calmer and easier the Reading part goes.
Now for the strategy:
2️⃣ Have a clear strategy for solving the Lesen part.
The opposite principle also applies: if you have a broad vocabulary but no strategy, you can fail Lesen - trivially because you don't have enough time.
Strategy is a clear understanding of how to make the best use of the allocated timing. So that on the exam everything goes on automatic, and there won't be no fussy action. There is already stress, and any fuss can be very costly.
What you need to know for yourself:
- How do I do on part.
- How I'm solving them.
- What I pay attention to.
- How much time I can allocate for each of the parts.
And so on.
A ready-made strategy will save nerves and give you confidence in your abilities.
3️⃣ Have writing and speaking blanks.
You may be surprised, but Schreiben and Sprechen are the easiest parts. You can prepare for them at home, and the grades for them are often higher than for "Lesen" and "Hören".
You can use the so-called "skeletons" - universal blanks that you can learn by heart, and at the exam just to substitute them.
In my experience, speaking is a bit of theater. You need to PROMOTE to the examiners that you have the information required for B1/B2. Even if you never use it in your life, it doesn't matter. Unexpressed expertise = Disqualification.
So make sure you study the criteria so you know exactly what they want you to do. And show the examiners what they want to see/hear.
🔥 That's some advice. If you get any more ideas, I'll be sure to share them!
Schönen Tag noch! Have a nice day! 😊

⚡️Adverbs with control
🤔 What are they? In German, as you probably know, there are adverbs such as: gern (willingly), wenig (little) - and many, many more.
📌 Just like verbs, some adverbs are used in combination with a certain preposition and with a certain control (case). You have probably seen the phrase "Ich bin stolz darauf..." (I am proud...). So the word stolz (proud, proud) is always used with the preposition auf and has the control in Akkusativ.
📍What adverbs with control should you know? We have collected some interesting examples for you:
🔺ärgerlich über + Akk. - Angry about something.
Worüber bist du ärgerlich? - What are you angry about / What makes you angry?
🔺bekannt mit / für / bei
Three prepositions at once - let's sort it out. The word bekannt itself means "known, known". So the meaning of the sentence you want to say depends on the preposition, too
▫️Bekannt mit + Dat. - Familiar with someone:
Bist du mit Henry bekannt? - Do you know Henry?
▫️Bekannt bei + Dat. - acquainted among
Er ist bei der Polizei bekannt. - He is known among the police (i.e., he is known as a criminal)
▫️Bekannt für + Akk. - famous/known for some characteristics
das Hotel ist bekannt für seine gute Küche - The hotel is known for its good food.
🔺And let's end our mini-set on a nice note:
zufrieden mit + Dat. - zufrieden something.
Er war sehr zufrieden mit seinem Leben. - He was very happy with his life
