Lawyer Khaled Zabarqa said that the killing of the Palestinian detainee Saber Al-Amital inside the Israeli prisons and the appearance of marks of bruises and beatings on his body represents an additional evidence of the Israeli systematic torture and violations against Palestinian detainees.
He added that the continuation of these practices against detainees reflects a very serious reality that requires urgent action at the human rights and international levels to stop the ongoing violations against Palestinian detainees.

The Palestinian Al-Ahrar Movement said that the martyrdom of the Palestinian detainee Saber Al-Amital is a new Israeli crime against Palestinian detainees, and reveals the continuation of the systematic violations practiced by the prison administration of torture, medical neglect and abuse, which claimed the lives of a number of prisoners during the recent period.
The movement pointed out that this crime represents a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions and the United Nations rules for the treatment of prisoners, stressing that the silence of the international community towards it has encouraged the occupation to persist in its crimes, which requires serious international action that ensures the protection of prisoners and the preservation of their rights.
