Food insecurity now affects 97% of people in Gaza, with 640,000 facing famine and 85% at emergency levels.

Al-Sharif said that agriculture in Gaza is being deliberately destroyed. She called for urgent international help to reopen border crossings, allow the import of farming supplies, and support rebuilding efforts to prevent more people from going hungry.
