Biggest Advice i have,

Start with the smallest things

people ask me how to do i get xyz.... I told them do this first.... They say i know that but how do i actually get that route.... 🙁

They Ingnore the smallest Things... so i am just going to drop all the smallest things i have done so far, and from there you can learn from my Exp

So as a starter, this question i see it everywhere, i have been on the Employee side for some time and Recruitement side as well....

"How can i get a job as a fresh starter, most Job posts require YOE"

Lets deep dive in each of them, let me start by telling my story:

My first Internship was from remote place and was created by indians, They have more than 80% of acceptance rate.
It was 1 Month long internship 4 tasks, 1 per week.

and at the end of the Internship they tell you to share it on linkedin...

At first i thought they just wanted the Free Promo...
But later i start to understand its actually for me, that was my step on Growing and building in Public!

I will share those first timers Internship Opportunities, some of you may know them, and the reason you didn't take action is bec you thought they didn't have any value...

My next adventure was the Exposure i got about the Remote Job World

It was around 2022
When there was an event called "DevFest" Hosted at Science museum
long story short i got to meet the Organizers, Great people in there!

And Started asking serious Questions and they started to tell me something i have not heard before... I was seriously Humbled and for really lot of exposure...

I dont know how but this people were kind enough to Open their Wise account and Show me How much they got in a Bi-Weekly period.

One of them was making $5k on a monthly basis....(This is not something they just said its something they showed me).... which i dont think i will do that to anyone still now... But thet were kind of 'FERENJ' peps in there really open.

Some of them showed me how mcuh they make From Upwork
Some of them showed me the Contracts they got from Turing and Toptal $10/hr was the smallest

The reason i am telling you this is not for anything but to tell you one simple thing...

You only Become what you are exposed to, You become what you see...

I was not Envy of these people, They were really just an Inspiration moment!
Telling me that i really can do this!

Next Year in that Event, i was part of that group i was getting paid in USD (Very Small) but Showing that it was possible!

i wil continue to next after answering some SMA...

There is a serious Shortage of Skilled Data Engineers
I know companies in here that Hire from India bec thet didn't get the Qualified peoples.

So if you ask me the Market is in Need of Senior Level Data Engineers

1, I think the best person to answer this is Henok
2, For Starters i would recommend you to go out of the Tutorials you guys are seeing and start building Models, Pipelines and any Solution using data. Get your self familiarize on that one.
Next step is start the ML in production level, when you are fully cabable of Launching Models in production, then you are ready.

3, if you are starting out, i would suggest for you to advance on Data Analysis, bec that is the place where you really understand the main problems you are solving, Data Engineering becomes easier that way... if not it will be the hardest thing, bec things wont really make sense for you

From my last survey, most people in here are Fresh Graduates or Early in there careers, so i will post resources that may help you guys at least put something in your Resume!

Continuing from Yesterday...

1, I am a Data & Ai Engineer, working at Multiple Projects
2, Skills that are still valuable depends on your interest, there is not much like a universal way to that... But you can start from being:

Data Analysis -> Data Science -> Data Engineer

This way your progress will be so much Easier

3, Linkedin is a place where you meet some like minded people, recently it might have changed a bit and become a sales place, but there are some great creators in there. So start by identifying who are the famous people in your industry(Use Ai to recognize which people are considered the Voice in that Niche) and from there start to follow people in there. After that continue to local creators you want to work with and Companies you admire check thier Hired and connect with them. You can turn that into real Connections for Job in the Future.

4, There is no Specific platform, and being from Kifle hager doesn't Stop you from doing anything that any people are doing.

The Only Thing you need is Device and Internet Connection.

Which i come to believe You guys have better connection than here 😂️️
As for Platforms Start with University courses in YouTube, Good starter Could be CS50x Then go through their full Playlists and from there you can continue to advance on them.

What i can say is if you have done the Maths Part the next section is to start reading and implementing Old Papers from easy to hard on that area. You dont really have to find new papers just the ones that are famous and peole use to get their hands Dirty.

After having a real world implication of it, i think you can go and do your own Projects

I Myself , i am Interested in CV for MS and its a really Great Field, which i think is the Future of Ai is going to highly Advance on.

My Idea is...

So far Ai has really Advanced in NLP and LLMs
Next is Vision and Robotics, so i think it has a really Great Promising Career as well

Yeah I have been Discussing that point Already maybe check the Previous Chats, i have already Talked about them.

Honestly Speaking there is a truth to it, Most people who came from Data Engineering Dont Really come from Other place Except Data Science/Data Analyst and recently from BE as well.

So i think There are some free resources you can use, but The best ones so far are the below 2

The Above is the best so far, For Free it can really help you get all of the Fundamentals and have solid foundation.... Growing from there is the Tricky Part
