They attempted to reproduce (get the same results with the same methods) and replicate (get similar results from similar methods) the original paper.

What they found:

1. Inclusion of hunter-gatherer societies outside the inclusion criteria described in the paper methodology.

2. Exclusion of hunter-gatherer societies that should have been included in the analysis per the methodology described.

3. Societies where female hunters accounted for as little as 1.2% of returns were coded as a binary “women hunt.” Rare, infrequent, or low-production female hunting was grouped in.

4. Original ethnographic texts that said “women never hunt” and “women are totally excluded from hunting” were coded as having female hunters!

5. Some hunter-gatherer populations were counted twice (typically if they had different names to describe them).

6. Some items coded as “women hunt” had no mention of women hunting at all!

So much for fucking White unity.
