• Where this restaurant is?

I would like to talk about a Japanese restaurant I read about on a food blogger’s website. The restaurant named ABC is located in an alley on ABC Street which is popular with lovers of Japanese food. As I live in ABC, I can’t go to that restaurant on a regular basis. Thus, every time I get the chance, I love to get there with my colleagues to enjoy a palatable meal.

• What type of food the restaurant has?
The restaurant serves an extensive range of Japanese food, like sushi, udon, tofu, ramen and more. In addition to this, they also serve special diets, such as vegetarian-friendly, halal, vegan diets, and gluten-free options. Apart from this, you can also get full meals, such as lunch, dinner, and brunch.

• Why do you go to this restaurant?
This restaurant serves some kinds of Japanese traditional food. Among them, “ramen” – a traditional noodle Japanese is the most sought-after dish by this restaurant’s customers. It offers some famous kinds of ramen, with self-made noodles, making a wonderful and true ramen taste. The other thing which makes me fall in love with this restaurant is the Japanese culture when I eat out there. Chefs and waiters are always kind and polite, but smoking or too much noise is never allowed there. Thus, as soon as you get into the restaurant, it seems like you are immediately brought to Japan to experience the cuisine and the culture. That’s why it’s enjoyable to be there though it is located in a small area.

• And explain why you like this restaurant/why this restaurant impresses you.
Despite the fact that I really love our country’s cuisine, sometimes I choose to enjoy food from other cultures, and Japan is always at the top of the list. The art of Japanese cuisine and the cozy ambiance this restaurant creates do impress me a lot.

American vs. British English: Punctuating Titles

In American English, we typically add a period at the end of abbreviations. And this includes titles like “Mr.” and “Mrs.” In British English, though, these titles are written without the period at the end:

US English: Mr. Selby and Mrs. Lyle are waiting outside.
UK English: Mr Selby and Mrs Lyle are waiting outside.

The same applies to dialects based on UK English, such as Australian English.

“Ms.” and “Mx.,” meanwhile, aren’t abbreviations, but we punctuate them as if they were in American English for consistency with similar titles:

Are Ms. Booth and Mx. Tate here yet?

“Miss,” however, is a full word, so it doesn’t need a period in either dialect:

US English: Miss Joyce will see you now.
UK English: Miss Joyce will see you now.

You should now be able to use these titles correctly in your writing.
