تاریخ طبیعی در مدرسه تابستانی نشنالجیوگرافیک فارسی
این خَبْر ِ بَندانْ دَنجِرٖی است
دوره «دیرینهشناسی و تکامل» در مدرسه تابستانی نشنالجیوگرافیک فارسی از یکشنبهای که گذشت آغاز شد و چهارشنبه هم دوره «پرندهشناسی» ما آغاز خواهد شد.
از شیر مرغ تا جان آدمیزاد، از بط و بوتیمار تا ببر ِ خنجر دندان، از آغاز حیات تا تکامل انسان و از انقراض دایناسورها تا انقراض معاصری که اکنون میدانیم خود ما مقصر اصل کاری آن هستیم، در این دورهها مورد بحث قرار میگیرد.
اگر تا به حال ثبت نام نکردهاید، هنوز فرصت برای پیوستن به ما باقی است.
کافیست به تارنمای مدرسه تابستانی نشنالجیوگرافیک در این نشانی بروید و دوره مورد نظر خود را برگزینید:
دوره دیرینهشناسی و تکامل
دوره پرندهشناسی
محتوای این دورهها مطابق با آخرین یافتههای علمی است و البته حس اکتشاف جهان، یعنی مهمترین ویژگی نشنالجیوگرافیک، در این مدرسه تابستانی جریان دارد. بنابراین با دورهای معمولی روبرو نیستید که بشود در جاهای دیگر مانند آن را تجربه کنید.
در هر جلسه از دو دوره دیرینهشناسی و پرندهشناسی، علاوهبر طرح مباحث نظری و اشاره به یافتههای علمی، نگاهی نزدیک نیز به نمونههای عینی مرتبط با موضوع دوره (از قبیل سنگوارهها، اسکلتها و مولاژهای علمی و مطابق اصل) خواهیم داشت تا لذت اکتشاف با لمس و تجربه نزدیک این نمونهها دوچندان شود.
سرانجام گواهینامه معتبری از سوی نشنالجیوگرافیک تقدیم دوستانی خواهد شد که تا پایان این دورهها همراه ما باشند.
ثبت نام در این دورهها شامل هیچ برنامه کارگاهی یا میدانی نخواهدبود؛ اما چنانچه در آینده نزدیک (مثلا همین تابستان) برای چنین کارگاه یا مسافرت میدانی برنامهریزی کردیم، اولویت با شرکتکنندگان در دورههای فعلی مدرسه تابستانی ما خواهد بود.

The Case Against Reality: Why Evolution Hid the Truth from Our Eyes

Challenging leading scientific theories that claim that our senses report back objective reality, cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman argues that while we should take our perceptions seriously, we should not take them literally. How can it be possible that the world we see is not objective reality? And how can our senses be useful if they are not communicating the truth? Ever since Homo sapiens has walked the earth, natural selection has favored perception that hides the truth and guides us toward useful action, shaping our senses to keep us alive and reproducing.
