Michael Parenti was always a superior intellectual to Noam Chomsky.

But Chomsky has taught us a hard lesson Parenti could not:

Someone of his stature does not simply repeat CIA talking points (Yugoslavia, Syria, Venezuela) without reason.

It’s about interests. Benefits. Aligning with vile oligarchs and spies is the last door open to the American Dream for opportunist intellectuals.

If you’re Chomsky parroting CIA lies at this level, it’s because you want to be close to those willing to reward you for service to the empire. Period.
