CENTRAL, Texas (KWTX) - Two months out, some school districts are already opting to cancel classes on the day of the total solar eclipse. Belton, Temple, Killeen and Midway, won’t have school on April 8.

It’s a decision that involved the help of local law enforcement and county officials.

School districts say it wasn’t an easy decision to make, but canceling classes ultimately came down to safety.

Danny Masterson has been moved to what is likely to be his long-term location: Corcoran State Prison in Central California, a maximum-security facility that for years was the home of Charles Manson, according to state records.

Masterson was convicted last May by a Los Angeles jury of raping two women in the 1990s. After spending time in an LA County lockup and later the North Kern state prison intake facility, Masterson was recently moved to Corcoran, situated about halfway between Bakersfield and Sacramento.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Aerospace company Lockheed Martin confirmed to WFAA that about 300 aeronautics division employees will be laid off, including about 200 workers from the Fort Worth plant.

The layoffs are reportedly part of a plan to cut 1% of the company’s jobs over the course of this year.
