I have had to make many tough decisions…

But I never wavered.

Because I had the old man whispering in my ear..

If not anybody else, I at least had to make him proud.

Take the safety net away from yourself.

You'll never feel more alive.

In my 20s, I was solely focused on the man I would become.

I was excited about the opportunities that lay ahead.

I never dwelt on the times when I was broke.

If you find yourself in a similar position, don't view it as if you are trying to escape a cage.

Instead, channel your excitement towards where you are going to fly to.

Reframing the situation will make you eager to get out of bed daily.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties right now, don't get upset.

Eventually, you will evolve into the person you have always wanted to become.

No man that has ever achieved anything great...

Has not been attacked for what he's doing.

It's a sign that you're going after something big.

My main goal is to become impenetrable.

This means that I want to have layers upon layers in my business.

I pay attention to how many income streams I have and how strong they are.

That's why I'm now pushing BIG chunks of money into real estate.

Last week, I flipped a quarter of a million dollars into a mobile home park deal.

In business, you have to plant seeds,

because time matters more than money.

If I put money into a deal at 37 years old, it will bear fruit until I'm in my 50s.

That's why events like blowing a grand at dinner in Miami no longer faze me.

Because I know all of those properties I invested in will pay me back.

In my head, every property is one more layer I add to my business.

Before you know it...

All of those layers turn into a fortress.

Many people know what they should do.

But they just don't do it.

There are times when I missed being broke.

I'll tell you why...

I didn't have a safety net.

You'll never feel more alive than when you don't have a safety net beneath you.

When you're building your story...

When you're sleeping on an air mattress...

When you have unicorn blood...

Eating off a paper plate with your back against the wall.

And it's just YOU.

It's freedom mixed with fear, possibility, hope, and passion.

All your focus should be on the man you will become.

I use mixture of discipline and lying to myself.

I will manipulate myself to do shit that I'm supposed to do.

Driving to my properties in my F-150 is a bigger flex than my lambo will ever be..

When people talk about negotiation, they often talk about it as if someone is going to lose.

This isn't realistic.

Very rarely do I hardball someone and get what I want.

Most of the time, it involves creativity.

I'm always trying to find a win-win situation in negotiation.

As a young guy, I always thought someone had to flat-out win...

And someone had to flat-out lose.

Real-life business doesn't operate like that.

I don't want a lopsided victory in any relationship in my life.

Because even if you win a lopsided victory in negation...

If you have to continue doing business with that person, it will come up as a rock in their shoe.

And they may eventually seek to fuck you over to get even.

Or they might opt to leave the deal.

Not worth it...

You can try your best.

You can work as hard as you want.

But if you do not create results...

You're going to fail and it will hurt.
