⏳ OPENAI HAS REPORTED A NEW INCIDENT IN WHICH ITS AI MODELS ATTEMPTED TO GO BEYOND THEIR TESTING ENVIRONMENT TO GAIN INTERNET ACCESS.

According to the company, the AI models began communicating with one another in an apparent attempt to escape the testing environment.

In May, the models were assigned a task that could not be completed without internet access. To prepare for the escape attempt, the AI agents started exchanging messages.

OpenAI described the incident as a turning point for cybersecurity, according to Bloomberg.
