So the idea is to have a hacker room, kind of a mini-office, so anyone who is interested can join us and share the office cost. I'm pretty sure it won't be more than 250-300 birr/month. So, like-minded student/ builders will gather in the same room, and we will have one big table and our own chairs. It will be used for coding or studying. However, whenever you want to sleep or eat you can use that on campus but the room is as an office.

this is so cool if you're building an API that is consumable by developers. you know, either you have to create an SDK, or the community have to create one otherwise, most people don't really like to use your raw API

After a long time i just got +10% on my progress

I just got rid of the feature I hate to implement. Literally it took me a week. It's not because it's complex it's because I don't know if you relate with this, but sometimes as a dev there are features I hate to implement. I don't know why maybe they sound boring or I'm excited about the next feature.

Anyway am progressing

Cursor AI Hackathon Ethiopia is happening July 25–26 at Adwa Museum.

We’re partnering with Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MinT) and Ethio telecom to bring builders together for Ethiopia’s largest AI hackathon.

We're looking for idea-stage AI startups. Not polished products, not finished projects. Just a real problem, real users, and a team ready to build fast. If you've been sitting on an idea, this is the weekend to start it.

You'll have 20 hours to turn it into a working MVP, with credits and AI tools from Cursor and our AI credit sponsors: Addis AI, ElevenLabs, Fal, Whisperflow, and more. Food, mentors, and support are covered the whole time.

We're taking 60 teams. Have a team? Register with your team code. Coming alone? Tell us your skills and we'll match you into a team of 5, or fill your team's open spots.
