這城街巷，今天只有殘留的軀殼，揭穿了一個前人未曾想我們繼承的殘局。無人問：「為甚麼會變成這樣？」但答案，我們都了然於胸。月復月、日復日，每個衝擊點滴累積成集體壓抑 ──鐵血的制度不止壓下染血的警棍、被爆的頭顱，也壓下真相。

Dead streets, a shell of what once was - denying what could be - reveals a legacy that our great ancestors never wanted us to inherit. “How did it get this way?” Nobody asks; we already know the answers, repeated and beaten into our collective anxieties month after month and day after day. The truth wielded like a bloody truncheon, cracking skulls of the systemically oppressed.

I’ll tell you how I really feel. I’m scared. Scared to imagine a future where all my freedoms are taken away because I know what I’ve lost. And even so, that is nothing compared to imagining a future for a generation where they’ve no idea what freedom is. In fact, this is the present for many already, their birth right was stolen by weak men and women who deem independent thought and ideas too dangerous, and will go so far as to run tanks over any who break this narrative they desperately cling to.

But I’ll tell you what. I’m not scared of them; when I see the youth of Hong Kong and those behind them rally fearlessly in what they believe in, spitting in the face of apathy and police brutality, we’ve an entire generation who will pave ahead a time where history doesn’t repeat itself - repeat the cruelty of our would-be masters.

You who continue this protest, know that you are incredible. Ignore the hate, reject the ignorance, take each step forward with pride - pride that we control our own future. We should be forever proud to be known as Hongkongers.

2020 Sony World Photography Awards在2月12日宣佈我的作品「Wounds of Hong Kong」入圍紀實攝影組的Finalist。但是由2月14日起，這輯作品在主辦單位World Photography Organisation(WPO)的網頁被下架。同一組別的入選作品、David Butow的「Battleground HongKong」和肖像組Adam Ferguson的「Hong Kong Protestors」同樣被消失。
作品被暫時下架的原因，我正在向WPO了解。對方的初步答覆是「A concern was raised about the sensitive nature of some of the images in the series which we must take into consideration. We have temporarily taken down the images as part of a standard process which we have put in place for these type of cases until we are able to review everything in further detail.」但「入圍名單未有因此而改變」云云。正式賽果將於4月17日宣佈。
「Wounds of HongKong」的構想很簡單，就是要記錄警暴，令更多人得知這大半年來香港人的遭遇。既然WPO暫時未能刊載這些與香港抗爭運動有關的作品，我在此公諸同好，以廣流傳。
若有進一步資料，我會在此Update。

Wounds of Hong Kong
Protests in Hong Kong show no signs of abating after months of violent fighting. What began as an objection to the extradition bill has evolved into a comprehensive protest regarding the future of the city. There have been numerous examples of police brutality: protestors have been beaten with batons (resulting in bone fractures), subjected to sexual harassment, and even shot with bullets. Some have since developed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of their experiences. This level of brutality does not only affect protesters, but also every ordinary Hong Kong citizen. Although the abuse of power by police has been recorded on video, up until now no officer has been investigated, or punished. “The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting”, suggested author Milan Kundera. Scars and bruises may fade, but we must remember what caused them. Here are the wounds of the casualties.

剛過去的冬天，一位韓國朋友提議改編「當那天到來」（그날이오면） ，一首韓國民主運動的重要歌曲，也是電影「1987：逆權公民」的插曲，希望這首歌可以為香港人打氣。

由光州、首爾到香港，由1980到2020，歷史不斷輪迴，但掌權者並沒有從當中汲取教訓。由卄三條、國民教育、到送中惡法，再到定於一尊的國安法，香港人「何止像造了幾十年夢，覺醒原来活於驚恐」。

再回顧歷史，人民遭到鎮壓的韓國光州起義、台灣美麗島事件，都敲響了獨裁者的喪鐘。如今，席捲全球的反警暴Black Lives Matter 已變成一場新的民權運動。民主人權路上，香港人並不孤單。

兩百萬香港人上街的日子，616，是我一生最難忘的生日。讓自由之夏的初心不變，「要看到那天，我信有那天！」。

《冇比較冇傷害》
泰國反政府示威第9日，泰國宣佈解除首都曼谷的緊急狀態令，同時釋放示威領袖 Patsaravalee Tanakitvibulpon，法院認為她手指控並不嚴重，由於她仍要上課及應付考試，沒有任何保釋條件下就釋放她。
按：泰國示威未完，情況不能與香港直接比較。但現階段來說，香港政府真係不堪。

【共和黨參議員麥康奈爾七度連任】
【一直推動美國關注香港問題】
美國總統大選同時，參眾兩院改選，共和黨資深參議員兼多數黨領袖麥康奈爾（Mitch McConnell）第7度在肯塔基州連任，是史上出任歷時最久的共和黨參議員。
78歲的麥康奈爾，被外界視為特朗普在參議院的重要支持者，曾經在稅務改革和任命巴雷特為最高法院大法官等議題上，支持特朗普。近年他在香港議題上，亦有敦促華府密切注意香港民主狀況。
麥康奈爾勝選後表示，「現在是捍衛我們所承繼的時候，然後流傳下去，令我們更強大。」他又表示，美國面臨挑戰和有真正的對手，但美國國民絕不是敵人。

麥康奈爾去年談及香港局勢時，促請特朗普支持香港示威者，認為美國與勇敢的香港人同在的訊息，要由特朗普親口表態，希望特朗普注重與中國作貿易談判同時，強調維護香港自治。麥康奈爾又表示，美國可引用《香港人權與民主法案》，制裁嚴重侵犯人權者。
他在1992年有份起草《美國─香港政策法》，令美國在金融和文化等領域，給予香港有別於中國的待遇，承認為香港獨立關稅區，但其前提是中國必須履行《中英聯合聲明》內的承諾，讓香港實行「高度自治」。
當時的香港政策法亦定明，在一國兩制框架之下，美國支持香港的人權、民主與自治，且保障香港的生活方式，美資亦可在香港這個國際金融中心和自由港內營商。
關於中國，麥康奈爾去年與國務卿蓬佩奧對談時表示，言論自由和民主選舉觀念擴散到中國，是中共領導人習近平「最壞的惡夢」。
