警拘星火成員指涉洗黑錢 金融、會計新工會發聲明 斥製白色恐怖
警方前日（19日）公布破獲一宗洗黑錢案，拘捕4 人，指案件與支援被捕抗爭者的「星火同盟」有關。今年 9 月新成立的香港金融業職工總會（金總），昨日（20日）發聲明譴責警方在未提供充分實質證據下，將「星火同盟」與洗黑錢活動扯上關係，有混淆視聽和誤導公眾之嫌。金總質疑警方此舉，實質用意為凍結異見人士資產，進一步破壞香港自由經濟聲譽，工會就此予以強烈譴責。
金總聲明指，星火作為大型籌款平台，每日擁有大量現金流動並非不尋常；金總質疑警方未提供具體證據，證明星火與洗黑錢活動有任何關聯，卻高調誤導公眾指星火涉嫌洗黑錢，是有意圖將星火冠以不法組織之名，及意圖令市民因懼怕被冠上莫須有罪名，而停止支援抗爭者。
金融業：憂打擊外商信心 威脅國際金融中心地位
金總在聲明中強調，香港享有國際金融中心美譽，「絕對不能容許在沒有充足理據下肆意凍結異見人士資產」，憂慮先例一開將打擊外商信心，國際金融中心的地位受到重大威脅。
同樣是新成立的香港會計專業人員協會亦發聲明，質疑港府及警方在未有實質證據證明星火洗黑錢下，胡亂凍結其資產，「是再一次打擊香港法治的舉動」。
會計專業人員協會批評，政府及警方的行動製造白色恐怖，打擊市民追求民主自由，協會對政府再一次漠視民意，「為了『止暴制亂』，不惜破壞香港金融體制」，深表遺憾。

HKFU’s Denunciation of Unreasonable Suppression on Supporting Protesters
Hong Kong Police, without any valid and solid evidence, drew far-fetched inferences by saying Spark Alliance involved in money laundering activities in the press conference convened on 19 December. The allegation tended to mislead the public with prevarication and deliberate falsehoods. Spark Alliance is renowned for their humanitarian aid offered to protesters. Hong Kong Police was questioned for their intention to freeze assets of dissidents, leading to the ruin the reputation of Hong Kong economy. Hong Kong Financial Industry Employees General Union hereby strongly condemns the act taken by Hong Kong Police Force.
Misleading and deceitful message to the public
In the press conference, Hong Kong Police claimed that Spark Alliance was suspicious for money laundering due to substantial amount of cash transferred to the concerned account. However, considering Spark Alliance is one of the large-scaled crowdfunding platforms in Hong Kong, it is common to maintain a significant amount of cash flow. Pursuant to the existing definition of money laundering in law (see notes), no evidence was provided by Hong Kong Police to prove the engagement in money laundering by Spark Alliance. Hong Kong Police was in lack of comprehensive and sufficient investigation but misinformed the general public that the crowdfunding platform targeted to conduct money laundering but in fact for humanitarian aid. They attempted to hat Spark Alliance unlawful organisation.
Spread of White Terror
Spark Alliance is a crowdfunding platform to offer humanitarian aid for protestors involved in Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement all the time. Numerous members in the society and organisations gave their donation to Spark Alliance. The high-profile act of Hong Kong Police tends to suspend the public from supporting protesters because of the fear to be charged money laundering unreasonably.
Indiscriminate freeze of dissidents’ assets
As an international financial hub, Hong Kong is recognised for her freedom in economy and robust legal system with no tolerance on indiscriminate freeze of dissidents’ assets. If any precedent is set, individuals or organisations against the regime are likely to be charged money laundering and their assets will be frozen, or they will even be criminally liable. As a result, the confidence of foreign investors in freedom of Hong Kong economy may be badly shaken if they find that their safety, investment and assets are not comprehensively protected under the law, result in severe threat on our status of international financial hub.

Money laundering is the processing of these criminal proceeds to disguise their illegal origin.
The process involves the following three stages:
1. Placement – The physical disposal of cash or other assets derived from criminal activity
2. Layering – The separation of illicit proceeds from their source by layers of financial transactions intended to conceal the origin of the proceeds, for example, converting cash into cheque, precious metal, shares, savings insurance plan and property etc.
3. Integration – Supplying apparent legitimacy to illicit w

理大圍城期間，一直在理大內為留守者煮食的「廚房佬」，離開理大後因情緒問題送院，接受近一個月治療後昨日出院；位於尖沙咀的「光榮冰室」在 fb 發文，指昨日和「廚房佬」聯絡，「廚房佬」指「我要做一個聖誕大餐比細路食，唔收錢！」商議後決定在聖誕節當日，借出場地予「廚房佬」，提供免費聖誕大餐。
光榮冰室的貼文指，昨日和出院後的廚房佬聯絡後，決定 25 日聖誕當日提早 5 時休息，晚上 7 時重開，借出場地舉行 5 小時，提供免費聖誕大餐，亦會設「貼士箱」自由定價，「廚房佬話聖誕大餐唔收錢，不過想收返愛、勇氣、正義」，所得收益不扣除成本，一半會捐予慈善機構，另一半交予「廚房佬基金」，「用作下次再開餐」。

《鏗鏘集》早前播出預告，新一集以「警民相惡」為題，訪問警員對警民關係惡化的感受。當中一名警民關係科主任譚汝禧，回應在反送中運動中警察經常被指濫暴，他說相信每位同事都是專業，就如警隊誓言「不對他人懷敵（惡）意」一樣，相信警隊的整體情緒是很失望和沮喪，但是市民不需對部分稱呼「overinterpret（過分演繹）」，「曱甴當然你哋諗係好差嘅比喻，但調返轉頭去睇，由正面去睇，曱甴係咪好有生命力呢？」
