🚨 CVE-2024-39689
Certifi is a curated collection of Root Certificates for validating the trustworthiness of SSL certificates while verifying the identity of TLS hosts. Certifi starting in 2021.05.30 and prior to 2024.07.4 recognized root certificates from `GLOBALTRUST`. Certifi 2024.07.04 removes root certificates from `GLOBALTRUST` from the root store. These are in the process of being removed from Mozilla's trust store. `GLOBALTRUST`'s root certificates are being removed pursuant to an investigation which identified "long-running and unresolved compliance issues."

🚨 CVE-2024-39691
matrix-appservice-irc is a Node.js IRC bridge for the Matrix messaging protocol. The fix for GHSA-wm4w-7h2q-3pf7 / CVE-2024-32000 included in matrix-appservice-irc 2.0.0 relied on the Matrix homeserver-provided timestamp to determine whether a user has access to the event they're replying to when determining whether or not to include a truncated version of the original event in the IRC message. Since this value is controlled by external entities, a malicious Matrix homeserver joined to a room in which a matrix-appservice-irc bridge instance (before version 2.0.1) is present can fabricate the timestamp with the intent of tricking the bridge into leaking room messages the homeserver should not have access to. matrix-appservice-irc 2.0.1 drops the reliance on `origin_server_ts` when determining whether or not an event should be visible to a user, instead tracking the event timestamps internally. As a workaround, it's possible to limit the amount of information leaked by setting a reply template that doesn't contain the original message.

🚨 CVE-2024-39696
Evmos is a decentralized Ethereum Virtual Machine chain on the Cosmos Network. Prior to version 19.0.0, a user can create a vesting account with a 3rd party account (EOA or contract) as funder. Then, this user can create an authorization for the contract.CallerAddress, this is the authorization checked in the code. But the funds are taken from the funder address provided in the message. Consequently, the user can fund a vesting account with a 3rd party account without its permission. The funder address can be any address, so this vulnerability can be used to drain all the accounts in the chain. The issue has been patched in version 19.0.0.

🚨 CVE-2023-26756
The login page of Revive Adserver v5.4.1 is vulnerable to brute force attacks. NOTE: The vendor's position is that this is effectively mitigated by rate limits and password-quality features.

🚨 CVE-2024-5753
vanna-ai/vanna version v0.3.4 is vulnerable to SQL injection in some file-critical functions such as `pg_read_file()`. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated remote users to read arbitrary local files on the victim server, including sensitive files like `/etc/passwd`, by exploiting the exposed SQL queries via a Python Flask API.

🚨 CVE-2023-30402
YASM v1.3.0 was discovered to contain a heap overflow via the function handle_dot_label at /nasm/nasm-token.re. Note: This has been disputed by third parties who argue this is a bug and not a security issue because yasm is a standalone program not designed to run untrusted code.

🚨 CVE-2023-33281
The remote keyfob system on Nissan Sylphy Classic 2021 sends the same RF signal for each door-open request, which allows for a replay attack. NOTE: the vendor's position is that this cannot be reproduced with genuine Nissan parts: for example, the combination of keyfob and door handle shown in the exploit demonstration does not match any technology that Nissan provides to customers.

🚨 CVE-2024-26621
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

mm: huge_memory: don't force huge page alignment on 32 bit

commit efa7df3e3bb5 ("mm: align larger anonymous mappings on THP
boundaries") caused two issues [1] [2] reported on 32 bit system or compat
userspace.

It doesn't make too much sense to force huge page alignment on 32 bit
system due to the constrained virtual address space.

🚨 CVE-2024-0986
A vulnerability was found in Issabel PBX 4.0.0. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /index.php?menu=asterisk_cli of the component Asterisk-Cli. The manipulation of the argument Command leads to os command injection. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The associated identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-252251. NOTE: The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.

🚨 CVE-2024-6387
A security regression (CVE-2006-5051) was discovered in OpenSSH's server (sshd). There is a race condition which can lead to sshd to handle some signals in an unsafe manner. An unauthenticated, remote attacker may be able to trigger it by failing to authenticate within a set time period.

🚨 CVE-2023-52168
The NtfsHandler.cpp NTFS handler in 7-Zip before 24.01 (for 7zz) contains a heap-based buffer overflow that allows an attacker to overwrite two bytes at multiple offsets beyond the allocated buffer size: buffer+512*i-2, for i=9, i=10, i=11, etc.

πŸŽ–@cveNotify
🚨 CVE-2023-52169
The NtfsHandler.cpp NTFS handler in 7-Zip before 24.01 (for 7zz) contains an out-of-bounds read that allows an attacker to read beyond the intended buffer. The bytes read beyond the intended buffer are presented as a part of a filename listed in the file system image. This has security relevance in some known web-service use cases where untrusted users can upload files and have them extracted by a server-side 7-Zip process.

🚨 CVE-2024-33862
A buffer-management vulnerability in OPC Foundation OPCFoundation.NetStandard.Opc.Ua.Core before 1.05.374.54 could allow remote attackers to exhaust memory resources. It is triggered when the system receives an excessive number of messages from a remote source. This could potentially lead to a denial of service (DoS) condition, disrupting the normal operation of the system.

🚨 CVE-2024-39182
An information disclosure vulnerability in ISPmanager v6.98.0 allows attackers to access sensitive details of the root user's session via an arbitrary command (ISP6-1779).

🚨 CVE-2024-40594
The OpenAI ChatGPT app before 2024-07-05 for macOS opts out of the sandbox, and stores conversations in cleartext in a location accessible to other apps.

🚨 CVE-2024-5616
A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability exists in mudler/LocalAI versions up to and including 2.15.0, which allows attackers to trick victims into deleting installed models. By crafting a malicious HTML page, an attacker can cause the deletion of a model, such as 'gpt-4-vision-preview', without the victim's consent. The vulnerability is due to insufficient CSRF protection mechanisms on the model deletion functionality.
