Jenkins FilePath.untarFrom() (all versions) validates symlink destinations but not targets, bypassing CVE-2026-33001. Any user with Item/Build access triggers tar extraction via POST /job/{name}/build, writing persistent symlinks into the tool cache. Symlinks to secrets/master.key, hudson.util.Secret, credentials.xml, and users/*/config.xml read via GET /job/{name}/lastBuild/consoleText enable offline AES decryption of all credentials and admin API tokens without bcrypt cracking, achieving RCE.

OpenCart extensions are uploaded as zip files with .ocmod.zip extensions. Upon installation, the OpenCart v4.2.0.0 extension installer extracts these zip files, but does not validate that the extracted paths stay inside the intended extraction directory. An attacker can craft a malicious extension containing file path traversal sequences, such as ../. With this vulnerability, an attacker can write files, such as a PHP web shell, into the webroot directory.

In affected versions of MISP cti-transmute, the conversion-history details endpoint performs an incomplete authorization check. When a history record references a deleted conversion, the associated conversion lookup returns None. The previous logic only denied access when the conversion object existed and the visibility check failed. As a result, deleted conversions bypassed the authorization check and their retained history input/output could be disclosed to a user able to request the corresponding history entry. The July 22, 2026 commit changes the logic to deny access whenever the conversion is missing or the requester lacks permission

Affected versions of MISP cti-transmute disclose users' email addresses through the account following-list endpoint. When an authenticated user follows another account, get_following() includes the followed user's email field in the API response alongside their name, user ID, and follow date. Because the email address is not required for the functionality and other related user lists omit it, an authenticated attacker could systematically follow users and collect their email addresses. The fix removes user.email from the returned object.

The webhook URL validator in `website/notifications/webhooks.py` uses
`ip.is_global` to reject non-public addresses after DNS resolution. IPv6
transition addresses (NAT64 `64:ff9b::/96`, 6to4 `2002::/16`, Teredo
`2001:0000::/32`) are classified as globally routable by IANA, so `is_global`
returns `True` even when the embedded IPv4 targets a private, loopback, or
cloud metadata destination. An attacker can register a webhook pointing at a
hostname that resolves to a transition address to bypass the SSRF guard and
exfiltrate vulnerability data to an internal endpoint.
The vulnerability was introduced on a non-release version. The fix was already done on HEAD. It only affects
organisation running the HEAD.

The Erlang/OTP ssl application does not detect cycles when reconstructing an incomplete peer certificate chain during a TLS or DTLS handshake. In ssl_certificate:handle_incomplete_chain/5, the received chain is passed to ssl_certificate:build_certificate_chain/5, which walks issuer relationships via ssl_certificate:do_certificate_chain/7 with no cycle detection and no depth limit. When the peer supplies two mutually cross-signed certificates in unordered form (A issues B, B issues A), the issuer lookup alternates between the two certificates and the pair of functions recurses indefinitely, growing the call stack and chain accumulator without bound.
An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted certificate chain in a TLS or DTLS Certificate handshake message to exhaust available memory and crash the BEAM node. Only a TCP connection and a partial handshake are required; no authentication or completed handshake is needed, and both TLS/DTLS servers and clients are affected when processing peer certificate messages.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 23.2 before OTP 29.0.4, OTP 28.5.0.4 and OTP 27.3.4.15, corresponding to ssl from 10.2 before 11.7.4, 11.6.0.4 and 11.2.12.11.

๐จ CVE-2021-34527
A remote code execution vulnerability exists when the Windows Print Spooler service improperly performs privileged file operations. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights.
UPDATE July 7, 2021: The security update for Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10, Version 1607 have been released. Please see the Security Updates table for the applicable update for your system. We recommend that you install these updates immediately. If you are unable to install these updates, see the FAQ and Workaround sections in this CVE for information on how to help protect your system from this vulnerability.
In addition to installing the updates, in order to secure your system, you must confirm that the following registry settings are set to 0 (zero) or are not defined (Note: These registry keys do not exist by default, and therefore are already at the secure setting.), also that your Group Policy setting are correct (see FAQ):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers\PointAndPrint
NoWarningNoElevationOnInstall = 0 (DWORD) or not defined (default setting)
UpdatePromptSettings = 0 (DWORD) or not defined (default setting)
Having NoWarningNoElevationOnInstall set to 1 makes your system vulnerable by design.
UPDATE July 6, 2021: Microsoft has completed the investigation and has released security updates to address this vulnerability. Please see the Security Updates table for the applicable update for your system. We recommend that you install these updates immediately. If you are unable to install these updates, see the FAQ and Workaround sections in this CVE for information on how to help protect your system from this vulnerability. See also KB5005010: Restricting installation of new printer drivers after applying the July 6, 2021 updates.
Note that the security updates released on and after July 6, 2021 contain protections for CVE-2021-1675 and the additional remote code execution exploit in the Windows Print Spooler service known as โPrintNightmareโ, documented in CVE-2021-34527.
