๐จ CVE-2026-52942
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_log: validate MAC header was set before dumping it
The fallback path of dump_mac_header() guards the MAC header access
only with "skb->mac_header != skb->network_header", without checking
skb_mac_header_was_set(). When the MAC header is unset, mac_header is
0xffff, so the test passes and skb_mac_header(skb) returns
skb->head + 0xffff, ~64 KiB past the buffer; the loop then reads
dev->hard_header_len bytes out of bounds into the kernel log.
This is reachable via the netdev logger: nf_log_unknown_packet() calls
dump_mac_header() unconditionally, and an skb sent through AF_PACKET
with PACKET_QDISC_BYPASS reaches the egress hook with mac_header still
unset (__dev_queue_xmit(), which would reset it, is bypassed).
Add the skb_mac_header_was_set() check the ARPHRD_ETHER path already
uses, and replace the open-coded MAC header length test with
skb_mac_header_len(). Only skbs with an unset MAC header are affected;
valid ones are dumped as before.

๐จ CVE-2026-53005
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
af_unix: Drop all SCM attributes for SOCKMAP.
SOCKMAP can hide inflight fd from AF_UNIX GC.
When a socket in SOCKMAP receives skb with inflight fd,
sk_psock_verdict_data_ready() looks up the mapped socket and
enqueue skb to its psock->ingress_skb.
Since neither the old nor the new GC can inspect the psock
queue, the hidden skb leaks the inflight sockets. Note that
this cannot be detected via kmemleak because inflight sockets
are linked to a global list.
In addition, SOCKMAP redirect breaks the Tarjan-based GC's
assumption that unix_edge.successor is always alive, which
is no longer true once skb is redirected, resulting in
use-after-free below. [0]
Moreover, SOCKMAP does not call scm_stat_del() properly,
so unix_show_fdinfo() could report an incorrect fd count.
sk_msg_recvmsg() does not support any SCM attributes in the
first place.
Let's drop all SCM attributes before passing skb to the
SOCKMAP layer.

๐จ CVE-2026-53027
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/ntfs3: fix missing run load for vcn0 in attr_data_get_block_locked()
When a compressed or sparse attribute has its clusters frame-aligned,
vcn is rounded down to the frame start using cmask, which can result
in vcn != vcn0. In this case, vcn and vcn0 may reside in different
attribute segments.
The code already handles the case where vcn is in a different segment
by loading its runs before allocation. However, it fails to load runs
for vcn0 when vcn0 resides in a different segment than vcn. This causes
run_lookup_entry() to return SPARSE_LCN for vcn0 since its segment was
never loaded into the in-memory run list, triggering the WARN_ON(1).
Fix this by adding a missing check for vcn0 after the existing vcn
segment check. If vcn0 falls outside the current segment range
[svcn, evcn1), find and load the attribute segment containing vcn0
before performing the run lookup.
The following scenario triggers the bug:
attr_data_get_block_locked()
vcn = vcn0 & cmask <- vcn != vcn0 after frame alignment
load runs for vcn segment <- vcn0 segment not loaded!
attr_allocate_clusters() <- allocation succeeds
run_lookup_entry(vcn0) <- vcn0 not in run -> SPARSE_LCN
WARN_ON(1) <- bug fires here!

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: Add preempt_{disable,enable}_nested() in reqsk_queue_hash_req().
syzbot reported a weird reqsk->rsk_refcnt underflow in
__inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop().
The captured reqsk_put() in __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop()
is called only when it successfully removes reqsk from ehash.
Moreover, reqsk_timer_handler() calls another reqsk_put()
after that.
This indicates that the reqsk was missing both refcnts for
ehash and the timer itself.
Since all the syzbot reports had PREEMPT_RT enabled, the only
possible scenario is that reqsk_queue_hash_req() is preempted
after mod_timer() and before refcount_set(), and then the timer
triggered after 1s aborts the reqsk due to its listener's close().
Let's wrap mod_timer() and refcount_set() with
preempt_disable_nested() and preempt_enable_nested().
Note that inet_ehash_insert() holds the normal spin_lock()
(mutex in PREEMPT_RT), so it must be called outside of
preempt_disable_nested(), but this is fine.
The lookup path just ignores 0 sk_refcnt entries in ehash
and tries to create another reqsk, but this will fail at
inet_ehash_insert().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
slimbus: qcom-ngd-ctrl: Register callbacks after creating the ngd
When the remoteproc starts in parallel with the NGD driver being probed,

or in the theoretical event that we get an interrupt from the hardware,
these callbacks will operate on uninitialized data. This result in

Observable Response Discrepancy vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssh (ssh_sftpd module) allows an authenticated SFTP user to enumerate the existence of files and directories outside the configured root directory.
The SSH_FXP_REALPATH handler in ssh_sftpd calls relate_file_name/3 with Canonicalize=false, unlike every other SFTP operation handler. This allows .. components in the requested path to bypass the is_within_root/2 check without being resolved. The un-canonicalized path then enters resolve_symlinks/2, which walks up the directory tree above the configured root and issues read_link() syscalls on arbitrary filesystem paths.
An authenticated SFTP client can exploit this by sending a REALPATH request with a crafted traversal path. The server response differs depending on whether the target path exists on the host filesystem (SSH_FXP_NAME when the path resolves successfully, SSH_FX_NO_SUCH_FILE when it does not). This creates a path-existence oracle that an attacker can use to enumerate the filesystem structure outside the configured root, including the existence of sensitive files, directories, and mount points.
The vulnerability leaks only the existence of paths. No file contents, credentials, or write access are obtainable through this issue alone. The information gained may assist further attacks when combined with other vulnerabilities.
This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/ssh/src/ssh_sftpd.erl and program routine ssh_sftpd:handle_op/4.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 29.0.3, OTP 28.5.0.3 and OTP 27.3.4.14, corresponding to ssh from 3.0.1 before 6.0.2, 5.5.2.2 and 5.2.11.9.

Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssh (ssh_sftpd module) allows an authenticated SFTP user to render an SFTP channel permanently unresponsive.
The handle_data/4 function in ssh_sftpd contains a catch-all clause that accepts channel data of any type. When channel data with a non-zero type code (SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_EXTENDED_DATA) arrives with an empty pending buffer and a payload at or below the SFTP packet size limit, the clause tail-calls itself with identical arguments, creating an infinite loop.
The SFTP protocol operates exclusively on normal channel data (type 0). Extended data (non-zero type) is meaningless for SFTP and is never sent by conforming clients. However, the SSH protocol permits any channel participant to send extended data on an open channel, so an authenticated SFTP client can trigger the loop by sending SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_EXTENDED_DATA with any data_type_code and any non-empty payload at or below the size limit.
The targeted ssh_sftpd process enters an infinite tail-recursive loop. It never processes another message, its message queue grows without bound, and it can only be stopped by killing the process. BEAM's reduction-based scheduler preemption continues to function, so other processes on the node are not starved, but each stuck channel process consumes its full CPU time share continuously and accumulates unbounded message queue memory. Opening many channels amplifies the CPU and memory impact.
Erlang/OTP SSH configurations using the default max_channels setting (infinity) allow an authenticated user to open unlimited channels per connection, amplifying the attack without requiring multiple TCP connections or authentications.
No file contents, credentials, or write access are obtainable through this issue. The impact is limited to denial of service on targeted SFTP channels, with secondary CPU degradation and memory growth.

Use of Default Cryptographic Key vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (DTLS server) allows predictable DTLS cookie computation during the startup window, enabling source address verification bypass.
On DTLS server startup, dtls_server_connection:initial_hello/3 initializes previous_cookie_secret to the empty binary (<<>>) instead of a random value. Because HMAC with an empty key is deterministic, anyone who observes the plaintext ClientHello can compute dtls_handshake:cookie(<<>>, IP, Port, Hello) and forge a valid DTLS cookie before the first rotation of the cookie secret. The DTLS cookie (RFC 6347 ยง4.2.1) is a denial-of-service mitigation that prevents spoofed source IPs from forcing the server to allocate state and perform expensive cryptographic operations; it is not an authentication mechanism. During the window from server startup until the first secret rotation (0 to 15 seconds), an attacker who can observe the plaintext ClientHello can bypass the source address verification, enabling DTLS handshake amplification with spoofed source addresses.
This vulnerability is associated with program file lib/ssl/src/dtls_server_connection.erl and program routine dtls_server_connection:initial_hello/3.

Improper Enforcement of Message Integrity During Transmission in a Communication Channel vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (tls_gen_connection module) allows a network-positioned attacker to inject unauthenticated plaintext that the TLS client application later treats as authenticated server data.
The function tls_gen_connection:handle_protocol_record/3 rejects APPLICATION_DATA records that arrive in pre-handshake states when the TLS endpoint acts as a server, but does not apply the same check when the endpoint acts as a client. A network-positioned attacker can send plaintext APPLICATION_DATA records to the client during the handshake. The records are buffered and, once the handshake completes successfully, delivered to the application as if they were authenticated post-handshake data. The attacker cannot observe the client's response or steer the connection, so the impact is limited to blind injection of unauthenticated bytes. The injection window is wider for TLS versions prior to TLS 1.3 than for TLS 1.3.

Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (dtls_packet_demux module) allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash all active DTLS sessions on a listener.
A DTLS server listener uses a single shared dtls_packet_demux gen_server process to route incoming UDP datagrams to the correct connection handler. When a DTLS client reconnects rapidly from the same source address and port (sending multiple ClientHello messages in quick succession), a race condition in the demux's internal gb_trees key-value store causes a {key_exists, {old, Client}} crash, terminating the demux process. Because the demux is shared across all DTLS associations on that listener, its crash immediately kills every active DTLS session, not just the attacker's.
The attack is pre-authentication: the attacker only needs to send UDP datagrams containing valid ClientHello messages from the same source IP and port before the intermediate DOWN monitor message is processed by the gen_server. No credentials, no completed handshake, and no special configuration are required, and the crash can be repeated indefinitely to create a persistent denial of service for all clients of that listener.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock/virtio: fix zerocopy completion for multi-skb sends
When a large message is fragmented into multiple skbs, the zerocopy
uarg is only allocated and attached to the last skb in the loop.
Non-final skbs carry pinned user pages with no completion tracking,
so the kernel has no way to notify userspace when those pages are safe
to reuse. If the loop breaks early the uarg is never allocated at all,
leaking pinned pages with no completion notification.
Fix this by following the approach used by TCP: allocate the zerocopy
uarg (if not provided by the caller) before the send loop and attach
it to every skb via skb_zcopy_set(), which takes a reference per skb.
Each skb's completion properly decrements the refcount, and the
notification only fires after the last skb is freed.
On failure, if no data was sent, the uarg is cleanly aborted via
net_zcopy_put_abort().
This issue was initially discovered by sashiko while reviewing commit
1cb36e252211 ("vsock/virtio: fix MSG_ZEROCOPY pinned-pages accounting")
but was pre-existing.

notification only fires after the last skb is freed.
On failure, if no data was sent, the uarg is cleanly aborted via
net_zcopy_put_abort().
This issue was initially discovered by sashiko while reviewing commit
1cb36e252211 ("vsock/virtio: fix MSG_ZEROCOPY pinned-pages accounting")
but was pre-existing.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv4: account for fraggap on the paged allocation path
In __ip_append_data(), when the paged-allocation branch is taken,
alloclen and pagedlen are computed as
alloclen = fragheaderlen + transhdrlen;
pagedlen = datalen - transhdrlen;
datalen already includes fraggap, but the fraggap bytes carried over
from the previous skb are copied into the new skb's linear area at
offset transhdrlen by the subsequent skb_copy_and_csum_bits(). The
linear area is therefore undersized by fraggap bytes while pagedlen is
overstated by the same amount.
The non-paged branch sets alloclen to fraglen, which already accounts
for fraggap because datalen does. Bring the paged branch in line by
adding fraggap to alloclen and subtracting it from pagedlen.
After this adjustment, copy no longer collapses to -fraggap on the
paged path, so remove the stale comment describing that old arithmetic.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix out-of-bounds read in smb_check_perm_dacl()
The permission-check ACE walk in smb_check_perm_dacl() validates the ACE
header size and caps sid.num_subauth at SID_MAX_SUB_AUTHORITIES, but it
never checks that ace->size is actually large enough to contain
num_subauth sub-authorities before compare_sids() dereferences them.
CIFS_SID_BASE_SIZE covers the SID header up to but excluding the
sub_auth[] array, and offsetof(struct smb_ace, sid) is the ACE header,
so the existing guards only guarantee the 8-byte SID base, i.e. zero
sub-authorities. compare_sids() then reads ace->sid.sub_auth[i] for
i < min(local_sid->num_subauth, ace->sid.num_subauth). The local
comparison SIDs (sid_everyone, sid_unix_NFS_mode, and the id_to_sid()
result) always have at least one sub-authority, and an attacker controls
the ACE revision and authority bytes (which lie within the in-bounds SID
base), so they can match one of those SIDs and force the sub_auth read.
A crafted ACE with size == 16 and num_subauth >= 1 placed at the tail of
the security descriptor therefore causes a heap out-of-bounds read of up
to SID_MAX_SUB_AUTHORITIES * sizeof(__le32) bytes past the pntsd
allocation. The security descriptor is loaded by ksmbd_vfs_get_sd_xattr()
into a buffer sized exactly to the on-disk data (kzalloc(sd_size) in
ndr_decode_v4_ntacl()), so the read lands past the allocation. The
malformed descriptor can be stored verbatim via SMB2_SET_INFO (the DACL
is not normalised before being written to the security.NTACL xattr) and
the read fires on a subsequent SMB2_CREATE access check, making this
reachable by an authenticated client on a share that uses ACL xattrs.
Add the missing num_subauth-versus-ace_size check, mirroring the
identical guards already present in the sibling parsers parse_dacl() and
smb_inherit_dacl().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSv4/flexfiles: reject zero filehandle version count
ff_layout_alloc_lseg() decodes the filehandle-version array count
from the flexfiles layout body. The value is used as the count for
kzalloc_objs(), and the current code only rejects NULL.
A zero count yields ZERO_SIZE_PTR, which can be stored in
dss_info->fh_versions even though later flexfiles paths assume that at
least one filehandle version exists.
Reject fh_count == 0 before the allocation, matching the existing zero
version_count validation in the flexfiles GETDEVICEINFO parser.
A QEMU/KASAN run with a malformed flexfiles layout hit:
KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000010-0x0000000000000017]
RIP: 0010:ff_layout_encode_ff_layoutupdate.isra.0+0x15f/0x750
ff_layout_encode_layoutreturn+0x683/0x970
nfs4_xdr_enc_layoutreturn+0x278/0x3a0
Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception
The patched kernel rejects the malformed layout without KASAN/oops/panic,
and a valid fh_count=1 regression still opens, reads, and unmounts cleanly.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfsd: reset write verifier on deferred writeback errors
nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd_commit() both call filemap_check_wb_err() to
detect deferred writeback errors, but neither rotates the server's write
verifier (nn->writeverf) when this check fails. Every other
durable-storage-failure path in these functions calls
commit_reset_write_verifier() before returning an error.
The missing rotation means clients holding UNSTABLE write data under the
current verifier will COMMIT, receive the unchanged verifier back, and
conclude their data is durable โ silently dropping data that failed
writeback. This violates the UNSTABLE+COMMIT durability contract
(RFC 1813 ยง3.3.7, RFC 8881 ยง18.32).
Add commit_reset_write_verifier() calls at both filemap_check_wb_err()
error sites, matching the pattern used by adjacent error paths in the
same functions. The helper already filters -EAGAIN and -ESTALE
internally, so the calls are unconditionally safe.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfsd: release layout stid on setlease failure
nfs4_alloc_stid() publishes the new stid into cl->cl_stateids via
idr_alloc_cyclic() under cl_lock before returning to
nfsd4_alloc_layout_stateid(). When nfsd4_layout_setlease() then
fails, the error path frees the layout stateid directly with
kmem_cache_free() without ever calling idr_remove(), leaving the
IDR slot pointing at freed slab memory. Any subsequent IDR walker
(states_show, client teardown) dereferences the dangling pointer.
The correct teardown for an IDR-published stid is nfs4_put_stid(),
which removes the IDR slot under cl_lock, dispatches sc_free
(nfsd4_free_layout_stateid) to release ls->ls_file via
nfsd4_close_layout(), and drops the nfs4_file reference in its
tail.
A second issue blocks that switch: nfsd4_free_layout_stateid()
unconditionally inspects ls->ls_fence_work via
delayed_work_pending() under ls_lock, but
INIT_DELAYED_WORK(&ls->ls_fence_work, ...) currently runs only
after the setlease call. On the setlease-failure path the
destructor would touch an uninitialized delayed_work.

delayed_work_pending(&ls->ls_fence_work) /* needs INIT */
nfsd4_close_layout() /* nfsd_file_put(ls->ls_file) */

initialization above the nfsd4_layout_setlease() call, and replace
the manual nfsd_file_put + put_nfs4_file + kmem_cache_free cleanup
with a single nfs4_put_stid(stp).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i2c: core: fix adapter registration race
Adapters can be looked up based on their id using i2c_get_adapter()
which takes a reference to the embedded struct device.
Make sure that the adapter (including its struct device) has been
initialised before adding it to the IDR to avoid accessing uninitialised
data which could, for example, lead to NULL-pointer dereferences or
use-after-free.
Note that the i2c-dev chardev, which is registered from a bus notifier,
currently uses i2c_get_adapter() so the adapter needs to be added to the
IDR before registration.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rpmsg: char: Fix use-after-free on probe error path

endpoint's priv pointer before calling rpmsg_chrdev_eptdev_add(). If

pointer is published should be ignored by rpmsg_ept_cb(). Flow-control
