🇩🇪🇷🇺 Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny fell victim to Novichok, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Wednesday, September 2.
At the instigation of the Charité, a special Bundeswehr laboratory carried out a toxicological test using samples from Alexej Nawalny. Thereby the unequivocal evidence of a chemical nerve agent of the Novitschok group was provided. These findings are beyond question, Seibert said.

The Federal Government will inform its partners in the EU and NATO about the results of the investigation via the Federal Foreign Office and will also contact the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).


🇩🇪🇷🇺 Российский оппозиционер Алексей Навальный стал жертвой Новичка, заявил официальный представитель правительства Германии Штеффен Зайберт (Steffen Seibert) в среду, 2 сентября.
Спецлаборатория Бундесвера провела токсикологический анализ образцов, полученных от Алексея Навального. Эксперты установили следы химического вещества группы Новичок, их выводы не подлежат сомнению, подчеркнул Зайберт.

Правительство Германии проинформирует своих партнеров в ЕС и НАТО о результатах расследования через Федеральное министерство иностранных дел, а также свяжется с Организацией по запрещению химического оружия (ОЗХО).

❗️The EU needs a new plan for Belarus and the rest of Eastern Europe, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk wrote in a column for the Financial Times

Unlike the West, Russia has a clear understanding of what it wants to see the former Soviet republics — fully controlled by Kremlin. The only way to deal with "Russian problem" is to truly reach out to Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and show them that EU and NATO membership is possible.
Yatsenyuk believes that Europe needs to leave the illusion that relations with Russia can be reset — this is useless under the regime of Vladimir Putin.

Several years ago, Russian spy was already expelled from the EU, but somehow he was able to return.
“Russia uses the same techniques to recruit agents all the time. They play on love, money, ego, or professional problems. GRU agents have always been very aggressive and are not afraid of anything. Unlike the KGB which operated over time, GRU attacks head-on, carries out raids, — and they don't care if they are uncovered,”said Alain Chouet, the former head of the French intelligence service DGSE.
