РЛС «Волга» способна обнаруживать баллистические ракеты в полёте, а также космические объекты, идентифицировать их и отслеживать траекторию, рассчитывая точки старта и падения. Информация передаётся на ГЦ ПРН в Московской области
Помимо территории Западной Европы, станция контролирует районы патрулирования подлодок НАТО в Северной Атлантике и Норвежском море

🔹43-й узел связи ВМФ России «Вилейка» (радиостанция «Антей», RJH69) обеспечивает связь на сверхдлинных волнах Главного штаба ВМФ России с атомными подводными лодками, несущими боевое дежурство в районах Атлантического, Индийского и частично Тихого океанов. Антенный комплекс, состоящий из 15 решетчатых опорных мачт высотой 270 м, древний как говно мамонта — построен в 1964 году.

После распада СССР в 1991 объекты оказался на территории независимой Республики Беларусь.
❗️Российско-белорусским соглашением от 6 января 1995 года ОРТУ «Ганцевичи» и узел связи ВМФ «Вилейка» были переданы России на 25 лет без каких либо налогов и оплат. В качестве компенсации белорусской стороне списана часть долгов за энергоносители, а также предоставляется информация о ракетно-космической обстановке и полигон Ашулук для проведения стрельб ПВО
Соглашение вступило в силу 7 июня 1996 года (и, соответственно, действует до 7 июня 2021 года)

In addition to Western Europe, the station controls the patrolling areas of NATO submarines in North Atlantic and Norwegian Sea.

🔹The 43rd Communications Center of the Russian Navy (Vileyka VLF transmitter) provides communication on super-long waves of the General Staff of the Russian Navy with nuclear submarines, which are on alert in the areas of the Atlantic, Indian and partly Pacific oceans. The antenna complex, consisting of 15 lattice support masts with a height of 270 m, is ancient as shit of mammoth — built in 1964.

After the collapse of USSR in 1991, the facilities ended up on the territory of independent Republic of Belarus.
