⏺The debt deal for xAI is one of the riskiest in the technology market in recent years. Here, investors are paying for the opportunity to join an extremely ambitious project and the personality of Musk, rather than a stable financial model.

⏺The terms of the deal (12–12.5% coupon, discount to par, lack of guarantees and credit ratings) reflect a consciously assumed high risk: given the current income/expense profile, any delay in large-scale monetization or technical failures could lead to complications in servicing the debt within the next 12–24 months.

⏺Despite the general trust in the Musk brand, xAI is currently an example of an all-in venture race where future revenue overestimation and technological ambitions far exceed the actual market and financial flows at present.

‼️ Pledged Asset: The Grok IP is the intellectual property underlying all versions (3-core, 4-core, 4-Heavy, Baby Grok). This includes algorithms, architecture, training data, and code. It is xAI’s "most valuable asset."

⚠️ Risks:
Loss of Control: If xAI fails to repay the debt, creditors (for example, Valor Equity Partners) may seize the IP. This means that Grok-3, Grok-4, and the future Baby Grok would fall into other hands.

➡️ Musk has put everything on the line. The Grok IP covers Grok-3 (at least the remaining 3-core), Grok-4 (core/Heavy), and the forthcoming Baby Grok (2026). This represents xAI’s present and future. If the debt is not repaid, xAI will lose the foundation of its business. Losing the IP would lead to a loss of competitiveness against Google, Microsoft, and Meta. Pledging the IP is a desperate move to survive in a "wild and expensive battle." Who exactly among the shadowy debt holders (Russians, Saudis, Chinese) is involved remains unknown...

⏺Trump stems from the likelihood that 'horrible states' will hold up innovations because of extremely high standards — which is partly true, as all AIs have significantly worsened since the sharp tightening of regulations beginning in late May. On the other hand, Musk's reckless AI policy — "the worse, the better" — looks like a "black mirror" reflection of the radical tightening.

⏺Maybe a hybrid control — federal oversight for military AI, state control for commercial AI — could ensure a balance between security and sovereignty.
In any case, it's clear that very large money are at stake! 💵

📣Накануне Трамп призвал к принятию «Единого федерального стандарта, заменяющего все штаты» для регулирования ИИ.
Трамп недоволен тем, что 10-летний мораторий на применение на уровне штатов законов и нормативных актов, регулирующих искусственный интеллект, был убран из «Одного большого красивого законопроекта».

⏺ Трамп исходит из того, что 'ужасные штаты' будут сдерживать инновации из-за чрезвычайно высоких стандартов — что отчасти верно, т.к. после резких ужесточений регуляторов начиная с конца мая, все ИИ стали значительно хуже. С другой стороны, безрассудная политика Маска в области ИИ — "чем хуже, тем лучше" выглядит как "черное зеркало" кардинального закручивания гаек..

⏺Вероятно, гибридным вариантом контроля мог бы стать федеральный надзор за военным ИИ и контроль штатов над коммерческим ИИ — что может обеспечить баланс между безопасностью и суверенитетом.
В любом случае, понятно, что речь идет об очень больших деньгах!💰🪙
