"The US National Intelligence Service has warned senators that no evidence of Iran's work on developing nuclear weapons has been found", Mark Warner, deputy head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said this on MSNBC

He recalled that back in March, the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, claimed that the Iranian authorities had not taken any action to create a bomb.

"On Monday of this week, we received confirmation that the intelligence data has not changed," Warner said.

The head of the committee noted "US President Donald Trump persistently ignores all intelligence provided to him and also does not share the information he has with the committee".

"Foreign policy through tweets is madness. But that's exactly what this guy. I have no idea what the current U.S. policy is regarding this circumstance. I'm the deputy chairman of the intelligence committee, and even if I don't have the faintest idea, what do the American people know?" said Warner.

Trump wants to make sure such an attack wouldn't drag the #US into a prolonged war in the Middle East — and most of all, would actually achieve the objective of destroying Iran's nuclear program.
▪️ If Trump enters the war it almost certainly would be to destroy the Fordow uranium enrichment site, which is built into a mountain south of Tehran.
Trump specifically asked his military advisers whether the GBU-57 MOP would destroy the Fordow facility. Pentagon officials assured him that it would, but it is unclear whether Trump is convinced.
❗️MOPs have never been used on the battlefield, though they went through several tests during development, current and former U.S. officials say.

“Силы собирают весьма впечатляющие. Однако же, есть один важный индикатор — количество авианосных групп… Когда их станет три — это уже война”. Об этом я писал еще 29 марта. Тогда американцы держали на Ближнем Востоке две АУГ. Три собирались в регионе последний раз в 1991 году, когда окучивали Ирак.

Сейчас в Восточное Средиземноморье идет “Форд” со своей группой, со стороны Аравийского моря подходит “Нимиц”, “Винсен” никуда и не уходил. ИТОГО ТРИ.

У разного рода “экспертов” есть популярное мнение, что к войне с Ираком американцы готовились год. Все верно. Но тогда они готовились с ноля. Еще не было базы в Катаре, крупнейшей на Ближнем Востоке, а силы Центрального командования были куда более скромными.

Война Израиля с Ираном идет давно, первое прямое столкновение случилось уже в апреле прошлого года. Все это время американцы готовились, просто не трубили про это на весь мир. Свозили в регион боеприпасы, расставляли ПВО. Перебросить самолёты много времени не надо.

Начнут они или нет — до сих пор вопрос, согласен. Но год подготовки, с учетом того, что уже сделал Израиль, им теперь точно не нужен.

Любопытно будет почитать, как потом "эксперты" всех мастей будут объяснять, почему Иран вдребезги размотали. А, ну конечно — потому что Америка вступила в войну..."

“They are amassing quite an impressive force. However, there is one important indicator—the number of carrier strike groups... When there are three, that means war.” I wrote about this back on March 29. At that time, the Americans had two carrier strike groups in the Middle East. The last time three were gathered in the region was in 1991, when they were preparing for Iraq.

Now, the “Ford” and its group are heading to the Eastern Mediterranean, the “Nimitz” is approaching from the Arabian Sea, and the “Vincent” never left. That makes three.

There’s a popular opinion among various “experts” that the U.S. prepared for the war with Iraq for a year. That’s true. But back then, they were starting from scratch. There was no base in Qatar yet — the largest in the Middle East — and Central Command’s forces were much more modest.

The Israel-Iran war has been going on for a long time; the first direct clash happened as early as April last year. All this time, the Americans were preparing — they just weren’t broadcasting it to the world. They were stockpiling munitions in the region, deploying air defenses. It doesn’t take much time to move aircraft.

Whether they will actually start or not is still a question, I agree. But a year of preparation, considering what Israel has already done, is definitely not needed now.

It will be interesting to read later how “experts” of all stripes will explain why Iran was utterly crushed. Oh, of course—because America joined the war...”
