"Torture Center" of the Assad regime
🇸🇾The Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets) organization reported that it had sent five specialized teams to the Sednaya prison near Damascus.

Raed al-Saleh – the director of Syria’s Civil Defence organisation, known as the White Helmets – said on Monday that the prison was “hell” for those detained in it.

“[Sednaya] doesn’t give the impression that it is a prison. It is a human slaughterhouse where human beings are being slaughtered and tortured,”

al-Saleh told Al Jazeera

He added that rescuers saw bodies in ovens, saying daily executions took place in the complex.

Freed prisoners report that many of the them are being held in secret underground cells.

To free the prisoners visible on CCTV cameras, the electronic doors to the underground levels must be unlocked.
