🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇳🤝🇷🇺 Банки JPMorgan Chase (США) и HSBC (Великобритания) проводили платежи для африканских компаний, подконтрольных Евгению Пригожину и его ЧВК «Вагнер» (под санкциями с 2016)
Как свидетельствует утечка документов, полученных Центром передовых оборонных исследований (C4ADS), подставные компании приобретали в Китае оборудование для разработки природных ресурсов, оплачивая его через западные банки.

🇸🇩🇺🇸🇭🇰 Согласно документам, в августе 2017 «Вагнер» использовал суданскую компанию Meroe Gold для закупки горнодобывающего оборудования у китайской Henan Liming. Платеж за него на $688 460 был отправлен из Blue Nile Mashreq Bank (один из крупнейших банков Судана), в JPMorgan Chase в Нью-Йорке, а оттуда — в China CITIC Bank в Гонконге.
В сентябре того же года Meroe Gold оплатила китайской AGG Power Technology $79 915 за генераторы и запасные части. Деньги снова прошли через JPMorgan Chase, а затем пришли в гонконгский Hang Seng Bank, входящий в группу HSBC.

Вместе с Meroe Gold в 2020 под ограничения попала контролируемая Пригожиным российская компания «М Инвест», служившая прикрытием для действий Минобороны, которая отвечала за разработку планов экс-президента Судана Омара аль-Башира по подавлению протестов.

▫️В JPMorgan сообщили Financial Times, что не обнаружили «записей, соответствующих этим транзакциям». В HSBC отказались от комментариев.

🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇳🤝🇷🇺 JPMorgan Chase (US) and HSBC (UK) processed payments for companies in Africa controlled by the deceased Yevgeny Prigozhin (under sanctions since 2016)
Leaked documents obtained by the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS), a Washington-based think-tank, show that in 2017 a Sudanese company controlled by Prigozhin made purchases of industrial equipment from China that passed through large western banks.

🇸🇩🇺🇸🇭🇰 One invoice shows that in August 2017, Meroe Gold, a Sudanese mining company that was a front for Wagner, sent a payment from a local bank account via JPMorgan Chase as an intermediate bank in New York to a seller in China.

Another invoice from the same year shows that Meroe Gold sent payment for diesel generators and spare parts to a Chinese company via Hang Seng Bank, which is part of the HSBC Group.

Along with Meroe Gold, the Russian company M Invest, controlled by Prigozhin, was also subject to restrictions in 2020. It served as a cover for the actions of the Russian Ministry of Defense and was responsible for developing the plans of former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to suppress protests.

▫️JPMorgan said: “After a review of the limited details shared with us, we have not found any records matching those transactions.” HSBC declined to comment
