▪️Makei was a supporter of the multi-vector policy, the distancing of the Republic of Belarus from Russia and the unofficial leader of the "peace party": he could negotiate with the West and the Belarusian elites in a language they understood and didn't participate in the general feverish insanity in hatred for everything European. Now the very possibility of negotiations between Minsk and the West looks almost unbelievable
▪️There are rumors that just over two weeks ago Lukashenka tried to get through to Kyiv after talking with Beijing. The purpose of the talks was to try to step back from Russia's war in Ukraine. This call wasn't declared.

Все это происходит на фоне слухов об ухудшении здоровья "последнего диктатора Европы" и внезапной смерти в субботу главы белорусского МИД, причиной которой предварительно считается инфаркт. Официальных данных о смерти Макея до сих пор нет
▪️Макей был сторонником политики многовекторности, дистанцирования РБ от России и неофициальным лидером «партии мира»: он мог вести переговоры с Западом и белорусскими элитами на понятном им языке и не участвовал в общем горячечном помешательстве в ненависти ко всему европейскому. Теперь сама возможность переговоров Минска с Западом выглядит почти невероятной.
▪️Ходят слухи, что чуть более двух недель назад Лукашенко пытался дозвонится в Киев, после разговора с Пекином. Целью переговоров была попытка отстранится от войны России в Украине. Этот звонок не афишировался.
