According to field reports from the Russian military, the AFU launched attacks from two directions around 8 am Moscow time. From Novogrigorovka to Kiselevka - with up to 5 tactical battalion groups. Officers of the RF Armed Forces said that the strike was similar to reconnaissance in force and a test of strength.

Around 11 am, the attack began in the east. The AFU tried to occupy the Dudchany-Mylovoe-Berislav crossroads. It was reported from the places that the Russians were able to keep their positions

“The 205th brigade and the 140th regiment of the Min of Defense are there. Reserve - 126 ("Crimean") reinforced 10 special forces brigade*. We're not letting the mobilized people forward flank yet, they are not ready yet. We're keeping them as a last resort, as a stupid reserve,” told the Russian officer.

According to opinion of Russian military, today's attacks are the beginning of a large offensive operation by the Ukrainian army. Russian military in the Kherson region fear that the AFU will be able to occupy Kiselevka and Chernobaevka, blockade Kherson from the north and then strike at Novaya Kakhovka. With a successful offensive in the east of the region and the loss of Mylovy, the Ukrainian army will be able to attack Berislav from two sides, take it, and then Novaya Kakhovka. This will cut off the retreat route for the Kherson group of RF Armed Forces and make the defense of Kherson meaningless.

The strength of the RF Armed Forces grouping in Kherson and on the right bank is up to 20,000 people. On the left bank of the Dnieper there are up to 18,000 people, over a half of whom have been recently mobilized and have no experience.
