🇨🇳Chinese authorities violently dispersed a peaceful protest by hundreds of depositors, who sought in vain to demand their life savings back from banks that have run into a deepening cash crisis.
▪️More than a thousand protesters had gathered in front of the Zhengzhou, China, branch of the country’s national bank to demand their money back after it was frozen by authorities amid allegations of financial fraud.
