How the Red Army rampaged through the territories occupied during World War II

It was from there that they expected liberation from fascist barbarism. After a long and painful persecution, the glorious and long-awaited Red Army came, but what did it turn out to be!
Drunken soldiers raped mothers in front of their children and husbands. Girls at the age of 12 were taken from their fathers and mothers and raped in groups of 10-15 soldiers... After the first group, others came who followed the example of their predecessors. Several of our comrades were killed while trying to protect their wives and daughters...”

▪️In Manchuria, the Red Army killed about a thousand Japanese refugees from the echelon detained there. In total, according to Japanese estimates, they killed about 11 thousand Japanese civilians in Manchuria.
One of the surviving Japanese recalls: “They killed the Japanese just for the sake of killing. I saw many corpses pierced with bayonets. Mountains and mountains of bodies…”

“Russian soldiers broke into houses and took away everything except furniture. Then a military truck drove up and took away the furniture. Soviet officers usually did not pay attention to the robberies perpetrated by their subordinates, and often they themselves participated in them."

▪️Not only Japanese refugees became victims of the Red Army. The Chinese too. The head of the US mission, which arrived in Shenyang (Mukden) for the repatriation of American prisoners, reported:

Local authorities are instructed to supply a certain number of women to the Soviet command every night. Red Army soldiers are engaged only in robberies and murders. But they are robbing not only Japanese. Some soldiers wear a dozen wristwatches at once... Among the Soviet military, I happened to meet decent people, but that's one of ten.”
