USSTRATCOM, in consultation with the secretary of defense and the president, ultimately decided on a limited nuclear response. Since just a week earlier, the Pentagon had reported on the deployment of W76-2 low-yield nuclear weapons for Trident submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs), the experts came to the conclusion that it was their use that was in question.

Основателем поселения стала полугосударственная колониально-торговая Российско-американская компания, созданная под покровительством Императорского дома. Российские территории простирались на несколько десятков километров вдоль побережья...

Среди прочего, в 30 км от Форт-Росс действовал порт Румянцев, который располагался в одноименном заливе. В 10 км от поселения находилась река Славянка, ныне называющаяся Рашен Ривер (Русская Река). К югу от Форт-Росс были основаны три крупных поселения — Костромитиновское, Черных и Хлебниковские равнины.

🔸Изучив условия сделки о продаже Форт-Росс в 1841 году, депутат Дегтярев допустил возможность возникновения территориального спора между Россией и США.
