Shut up or I'll show your child his mother's brains spread around the house': A Ukrainian mother has recounted being raped at gunpoint by Russian soldiers while her young son sobbed nearby.

⬆️ Natalia, 33, and her husband, Andrei, 35 (not their real names), lived in a small village near the village of Shevchenkovo in the Brovarsky district near Kiev, where they built a house on the edge of a pine forest. Brovary was one of the first battlefields when Russian troops tried to storm Kyiv.

On March 8, having learned that the Russians had entered the village, the couple hung a white sheet on the gate “to show that there is only family here and no one wants evil.” The next morning they heard a single shot near the house and how the gate was being broken down. Leaving the house with their hands up, they saw a group of soldiers, one of whom was holding a rifle pointed at their dead dog lying in the yard.

The commander, identified as Romanov by Natalya from social media posts, was among the group and became aggressive when he saw a camouflage jacket in the family's car.

Romanov then proceeded to snatch the keys of the car and drunkenly drove the car into a fallen tree.

Hours later at night, the family heard a loud noise by their gate and Andrey went outside their home to check what happened.

Natalya recalled hearing a single shot and the sound of the gate opening before footsteps sounded in the house. Romanov had come back with the younger soldier, who said he had shot her husband because he was a 'Nazi' before they both repeatedly raped her for hours.

❗️The younger soldier pointed a gun to her head and spat: 'You'd better shut up or I'll get your child and show him his mother's brains spread around the house.'

'[The younger soldier] told me to take my clothes off. Then they both raped me, one after the other,' Natalya told the newspaper. 'They didn't care that my son was in the boiler room crying.

'They told me to go shut him up and come back. “All the time they held the gun by my head and taunted me, saying, ‘How do you think she sucks it? Shall we kill her or keep her alive?’”

After hours of the Russian soldiers taking it in turns to rape Natalya, the men left but within 20 minutes they returned and raped her again.

The soldiers came back to the family's home for a third time to rape Natalya, but this time they were so intoxicated that they were stumbling.

“Eventually both of them fell asleep in the chairs. I crept into the boiler room and told my son we have to run away really fast or we will get shot”

'While I was opening the gate my son was standing next to his father's body but it was dark and he did not understand it was his father,' Natalya recalled. 'He said: "Will we get shot the same as this man here?"'

Выйдя из дома с поднятыми руками, они увидели группу солдат, один из которых держал винтовку, направленную на их мертвую собаку, лежащую во дворе...

Командир, который представился Михаилом Романовым, разозлился, увидев в машине Натальи камуфляжную куртку мужа, и открыл по ней огонь, а затем пригрозил взорвать машину гранатой. Потом он выхватил у нее ключи, завел двигатель и врезался на машине в ствол упавшего дерева.

После наступления темноты они услышали шум у ворот, и Андрей вышел проверить, что происходит, оставив дверь открытой.

«Я слышала одиночный выстрел, звуки открывающихся ворот, а затем звук шагов в доме», — рассказала Наталья. Это был Романов, который вернулся с другим парнем лет двадцати, в черной форме. «Я закричала, где мой муж, потом выглянула и увидела его на земле у ворот. Парень помоложе приставил пистолет к моей голове и сказал: „Я застрелил твоего мужа, он нацист“».
