❗️🇺🇦Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) detained a Ukrainian diplomat who tried to smuggle money, gold and jewelry abroad.
One of the employees of the Ukrainian embassy in one of the EU countries was detained while trying to cross the border at the Yagodin checkpoint.
Gold and currency worth about $1 million were confiscated from the diplomat.
During the inspection of the diplomatic minibus, they found almost 68,000 euros, more than $140,000, more than 12 kg of gold bars, gold jewelry with a total weight of 13.8 kg, and a large number of cigarettes.
