6 марта 2014 года Российская Федерация, захватив вооруженным путем власть в Автономной Республике Крым и городе Севастополе, провела так называемый «референдум о статусе Крыма».
Незаконное «волеизъявление», проведенное под прицелом российских военных, противоречило Конституции и законам Украины, грубо нарушало международное право, а также международные обязательства Российской Федерации по двусторонним соглашениям с Украиной и Будапештскому меморандуму.
Как показало время, это был первый этап плана Москвы, направленного на разрушение украинской государственности и расширение геополитического доминирования России в регионе.
После 8 лет массированной милитаризации Крыма и наращивания военного потенциала России Кремль совершил очередной акт вооруженной агрессии и жестоко напал на Украину, развязав полномасштабную войну в Европе.
Территория полуострова и акватория Черного и Азовского морей стали плацдармом для проведения наступательной наземной операции Вооруженных сил России на юге Украины и варварских ракетных ударов по украинским городам и гражданским объектам. Привлекались и срочники из Крыма, брошенные на русско-украинскую войну. Россия в очередной раз цинично нарушила международное право, международное гуманитарное право, сами основы гуманизма и морали.
В 2014 году Россия встала на скользкий путь к международной изоляции — ее исключили из «большой восьмерки», лишили права голоса в ПАСЕ, она стала объектом исков в международных судах и международных санкций.
Сегодня Россия оказалась в полной международной изоляции и стала лидером по санкциям, вынесенным международным сообществом.
Российская Федерация продолжает преследовать и незаконно заключать в тюрьму коренные жители Крыма.
❗️Мы вернем Крым и каждый клочок нашей земли, временно оккупированный Россией, и возложим на Россию и ее руководство ответственность за все преступления, совершенные ею в Украине.

🇺🇦Comment by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of the illegal “referendum” conducted by Russia in Crimea
On March 16, 2014, the Russian Federation, having seized the power by armed force in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, held the so-called "referendum on the status of Crimea."
Illegal "expression of will" held at gunpoint of the Russian military contradicted the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, grossly violated international law, as well as international obligations of the Russian Federation under bilateral agreements with Ukraine and the Budapest Memorandum.
As time has shown, this was the first stage of Moscow's plan aimed at destroying Ukrainian statehood and expanding Russia's geopolitical dominance in the region.
After eight years of massive militarization of Crimea and the build-up of Russia's military capabilities, the Kremlin committed another act of armed aggression and viciously attacked Ukraine, launching a full-scale war in Europe.
The territory of the peninsula and the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov have become lodgement areas for the offensive ground operation of the Russian armed forces in southern Ukraine and the barbaric rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian objects. Conscripts from the Crimea were also involved thrown into the Russian-Ukrainian war. Russia has once again cynically violated international law, international humanitarian law, and the very foundations of humanity and morality.
In 2014, Russia embarked on a slippery slope towards international isolation - it was excluded from the G8, deprived of a vote in the PACE, became the subject of lawsuits in international courts and of international sanctions.
Today, Russia faces a full international isolation and became a leader as regards measures imposed against it by the international community.
The Russian Federation continues to persecute and illegally imprison the indigenous people of Crimea.
❗️We will return Crimea and every single piece of our land temporarily occupied by Russia, and hold Russia and its leadership responsible for all the crimes committed by it in Ukraine.

❗️🇺🇦Следователи Государственного бюро расследований (ГБР) задержали украинского дипломата, который пытался вывезти за границу деньги, золото и драгоценности.
Одного из работников украинского посольства в одной из стран ЕС задержали при попытке пересечения границы в пункте пропуска "Ягодин".
У дипломата изъяли золото и валюту на сумму около $1 млн.
Во время осмотра дипломатического микроавтобуса обнаружили почти 68 тысяч евро, более $140 тысяч, более 12 кг золотых слитков, ювелирные изделия из золота общей массой 13,8 кг, а также большое количество сигарет.
Одного из работников украинского посольства в одной из стран ЕС задержали при попытке пересечения границы в пункте пропуска "Ягодин".

❗️🇺🇦Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) detained a Ukrainian diplomat who tried to smuggle money, gold and jewelry abroad.
One of the employees of the Ukrainian embassy in one of the EU countries was detained while trying to cross the border at the Yagodin checkpoint.
Gold and currency worth about $1 million were confiscated from the diplomat.
During the inspection of the diplomatic minibus, they found almost 68,000 euros, more than $140,000, more than 12 kg of gold bars, gold jewelry with a total weight of 13.8 kg, and a large number of cigarettes.
