Tibetans protest the Beijing 2022 Games of Shame
Around 500 Tibetans march outside the International Olympic Committee headquarters, led by an activist on skis dragging the Chinese flag behind him, to protest against Beijing hosting the Games.
Tibetan demonstrators from across Europe marched 3 kilometres from the IOC complex in Lausanne to the Swiss city's Olympic Museum, a day before the 2022 Winter Games' opening ceremony in the Chinese capital.
In New Delhi, protesters burnt a Chinese flag during a march.

❗️One of the most popular news in Russian social media over the past days: a batch of hashish with the image of Putin was detained in Libya.
A resident of the Libyan city of El Marj found on the sea coast 323 briquettes with hashish, marked with a portrait of the President of Russia.
Interestingly, earlier similar batches of drugs were detained in Lebanon, but there was a portrait of another famous drug lord Pablo Escobar.

🔹On the opening day of the Olympics, Putin, on behalf of Rosneft and Gazprom, signed contracts for the sale of raw materials to the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China's largest and the world's third largest producer and supplier of oil and gas.
Rosneft, which has been trading with China since 2005, will sell at least an additional 100 million tons of oil to China through Kazakhstan within 10 years.
The contract was concluded in 2013 for a period of 25 years and provided for the sale of 325 million tons of oil.
❗️Rosneft trades with China under prepaid contracts, under which it sells oil that has not yet been produced.
At the beginning of 2021, the company's obligations to supply oil, for which the Chinese have already paid, reached 1.758 trillion rubles, or $24 billion.
Now Rosneft owes China 4.608 trillion rubles worth of oil.
🔹Gazprom is pumping gas to China through the Power of Siberia pipeline, an agreement on which was signed in 2014 after the annexation of Crimea and the start of a sanctions war with the West.
❗️The pipe, built entirely with Russian money, for which Beijing has not allocated a cent, should reach its design capacity only in 2024 - 38 billion cubic meters per year.
Now Gazprom will be forced to increase the volume of deliveries to 48 billion cubic meters annually through the Far East route. Negotiations on a new pipe have been going on since 2015. All this time, Chinese importers have been increasing purchases of American liquefied natural gas.
It's no secret that Russia has been selling gas to China for a long time at dumping prices - for example, last year Russian gas for Beijing cost less than $120 - at that time as Moscow sold gas to Europe for $1,000 and more.
