Both crew members tried to the last to get the plane away from residential buildings, until the plane completely lost control, so they directed the plane to the stadium, General Reza Yousefi, commander of the air base in Tabriz, said.
As a result, the plane crashed into the wall of a school.

Оба члена экипажа погибли, до последнего пытаясь увести самолет подальше от жилых домов, пока у самолета полностью не отказало управление, поэтому направили самолет на стадион, рассказал командующий авиабазой в Тебризе генерал Реза Юсефи.
В итоге самолет врезался в стену школы.

Photographs have been released of pilots who sacrificed their lives trying to steer a falling plane to where there were fewer people. Lieutenant Colonel Sadegh Fallahi and Captain Alireza Hanifezad could have ejected but did not. Thanks to their sacrifice, only one passer-by died on earth.
Опубликованы фотографии пилотов, пожертвовавших своими жизнями, пытаясь направить падающий самолет туда где было меньше людей. Подполковник Садег Фаллахи икапитан Алиреза Ханифезад могли катапультироваться, но не сделали этого. Благодаря их жертве на земле погиб только один прохожий.

An F-5 fighter jet crashed over Alipur Gymnasium in the Monajim Bolivar area.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction.
Iran's air force still has an assortment of US-made military aircraft purchased before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Истребитель F-5, потерпел крушение над гимназией Алипур в районе Монаджим Боливар.
По предварительным данным, причиной крушения стала техническая неисправность.
В ВВС Ирана до сих пор есть ряд военных самолетов американского производства, закупленных еще до Исламской революции 1979 года.
