In 1 hour, at 04:30 UTC, the 🇦🇺 Reserve Bank of Australia will announce its interest rate decision and release its monetary policy statement.

If the RBA is hawkish about the inflationary outlook of the economy and raises interest rates, it is usually bullish for the Australian Dollar (AUD). Likewise, if the RBA has a dovish view on the Australian economy and keeps interest rates unchanged or cuts them, it is seen as bearish for AUD.

The RBA press conference will follow at 05:30 UTC. Hawkish comments tend to boost the Australian Dollar (AUD), while a dovish message tends to weaken it.
