A Limerick college student has waived her right anonymity in order to name the Nigerian man who was found guilty of raping her at the Cratloe Student Village in April 2018.
Utseoritselaju Uwatse (25), who moved to Ireland as a child, was sentenced to four years for the rape at the Central Criminal Court today.
Reading her victim impact statement to the court, she said:
“I don’t think there are any words that would convey the damage that you have done. The woman who is here today is broken down. I felt guilty for the heaviness I brought to my friends and family.”

A judge has refused to order the arrest of 53 asylum seekers which a communist organisation are using to occupy James Mac Sweeney House at 10 Berkeley Street in Phibsborough.
This, he said, was due to a lack of evidence before the court about the identities of the persons on the property.
He was not satisfied that all of those alleged to be in occupation have been made aware of the orders to vacate the premises previously made by the court.
Additional efforts must be made to ascertain the identities of those on the property, and that they be properly served with the proceedings before the orders sought could be granted, he said.
Gonna be tricky if they're undocumented...
The self-styled 'Revolutionary Housing League' began squatting at the property, which is being redeveloped by a charitable housing association to accommodate the elderly, on May 12th, the day their shanty town was cleared out by concerned locals on Sandwith Street.

🔹As Europe pushes for more electrification (electric cars & wind turbines etc.), findings by Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden 🇸🇪, on behalf of the European Commission 🇪🇺 warn that this is not feasible. With the current levels of worldwide rare earth elements production, there will not be enough of these metals in future, not even if recycling increases.
🔹The EU now risks making access to the rare earth element neodymium (Nd), difficult for future generations if they are unable to use what is already in circulation. Nd is essential to make permanent magnets for electric motors ⚙️, generators & wind turbines. Nd usage has increased by around 400% since 2006.
🔹Continuous advancements in permanent magnet technology are fueling utilization of alloys containing neodymium and is bolstering market growth. Nd magnets 🧲 help reduce the size and weight of components particularly for wind turbines generators.
🔹Contradictions arise from environmental policies geared towards electrification. A 2 megawatt wind turbine contains about 800 pounds of Nd. A megawatt of direct drive wind turbine capacity may require around 1100 pounds of permanent magnets.
🔹For example, the Bayan’obo district of Inner Mongolia 🇲🇳🇨🇳, has an open pit mine for rare earth's including Nd. Each metric ton of rare-earth element mined there necessitates clearing 3,230 square feet of vegetation and topsoil, and releases 1,000 metric tons of contaminated wastewater and 2,000 metric tons of solid or liquid waste tailings.
🔹Further problems arise as Nd magnets need significant amounts of dysprosium to perform at elevated temperatures; such as in EV's 🚗. Dysprosium relative abundance in the earth’s crust , is less than 1% of all rare earth elements. Alternatives to rare earth-based alloys already exist, but they lack the energy density needed to replace neodymium based magnets. Such alternative magnets will never be more than 60% as powerful as their rare earth counterparts.

OPINION PIECE: Could you be a ‘PEP’. According to the EU a PEP is a politically exposed person. It has long been recognised that some professions, particularly in the political world are more vulnerable to bribery and corruption. So for example if a politician received a large sum of money from Russia or the Ukraine and banked it into their bank account the question that the bank might ask is do we really want this persons business as we will have to do extra compliance checks and this will cost us and perhaps damage our reputation. But the definition of a PEP is open to interpretation and the first indication that you might get that the bank considers that you are a PEP is a letter cancelling your bank account. When you visit your branch to enquire you will be disappointed as no explanation will be given to you. You will learn that the bank has no obligation to maintain your account, has no obligation to tell you why your account is being closed and finally you will quickly realise that no other bank will accept your business. Suddenly you have become a non person. The slogan ‘keep cash, keep your freedom’ is all very well for many smaller transactions but what about even purchasing a Ryanair ticket, operating a chequebook, applying for a mortgage . Your world suddenly becomes very limited. Yesterday the UK politician Nigel Farage revealed that his bank accounts have being cancelled and that seven other banks that he approached have not accepted his business. His financial affairs have never been the subject of a police investigation. Is Nigel Farage a PEP, it depends on interpretation, an interpretation deriving from the corporate world where finance and a particular type of politics overlap. In our own country political activist Derek Blighe had his AIB Mitchelstown bank account closed, again no explanation. According to Derek Blighe it was just a normal account, never anything irregular on it. His wife’s account got closed down as well. Again no explanation given or needs to be given. Will people in RTÉ who have been the recipients of secretive largesse have their bank accounts closed. Was ever anybody who holds marxist Leninist views cancelled. What about views in agreement with climate ideology, LGBQT and transgender ideologies, views supportive of mass immigration and all things ‘woke’. They run no risk of having their bank accounts cancelled. If you think in a particular way, act in a particular way, play along in a particular way you need have no fear of the banks cancelling you. This is approaching financial totalitarian control to enforce obedience to a particular view of how the world should be. While this censure has so far been applied sparingly one person affected thus is everybody affected. Sovereignty includes individual financial sovereignty. This type of intimidation must not succeed.

GARDAÍ PROTECTING RAPIST UNDER "DATA PROTECTION" & REFUSE IRISH INQUIRY FOI PERTAINING TO NATIONALITY OF SEXUAL PREDATORS:
A man entered my home a few years ago as I sat watching TV at night. I had the curtains open, and the door unlocked. He quickly retreated when my dog advanced. The following year, that same man murdered a lady who lived three doors away. Her body was found in a popular walking spot. Her name was Linda Christian. Her killer fled to Romania.
This week a Tralee court heard "blood pooled in the gutter so badly it was like rainwater" after an attack on another young lady. Slovakian national Robert Bily was in Ireland 5 weeks when he tried to end the life of a 25-year-old in Co. Kerry. The victim had been watching Netflix at home alone, when she was set upon by stranger, Bily, who had entered her home.
He forced himself on her, dragging her to the bedroom, repeatedly punching her in the face while holding her windpipe, proceeding to stab her five times in the neck, twice in the shoulders and twice in the back, all the while demanding sex. So much force was used he damaged the knife and there were blood spatters on the ceiling.
He locked her in a bathroom and left her to die. She managed to climb out a window (with collapsed lung and lacerated liver) onto a roof where she screamed for help and lay there bleeding out until help arrived. She survived. Thankfully.
Women in Ireland are now meat for anyone who would wish to take advantage of our lack of checks (this lax approach applies whether those coming in from the EU or otherwise).
Last year I made a call to Blanchardstown Garda station asking why a description of a rapist was not released (for public safety) despite the victim seeing and hearing her attacker. They said, "how can we release that information when we haven't arrested anyone yet?" Um, well usually the way it works is a description may lead to someone being apprehended.
I was informed that only in some cases are descriptions given to the public "because...data protection" (but 1 year later and a high court ruling now means spying on the innocent Irish public is legal). Why would the Gardaí seek to protect the "data" of a rapist? Why only in certain circumstances? I was told, by a female Garda that it was none of my business, despite identifying myself as a concerned local female with a young child, who had (earlier that day) walked that same road where the rape took place, which I would never have done if I knew about the attack (I only found out just prior to that call). Everything I said was the truth.
In that case it took several weeks for the public to be notified of the rape of the woman in the area beside Mill Lane. The attacker has not been apprehended and still no description is forthcoming. Compare this with the Finglas rape a few months ago, where a description was "white, Irish".
As for sexual crime stats, while there are a lot of unvetted men, there's still not enough to justify them being so overrepresented. Why are non-Irish names coming up so often in the courts?
Earlier this year Gardaí refused to answer our FOI request seeking information on the ethnicity, nationality, and status (refugee, IPAS, etc) of perpetrators of sexual crime. That same week they said there was no proof in speculation that there was an uptick in sexual crimes committed by migrants (correlating to the recent influx).
Why won't they release poof of that? Wouldn't that foster trust and good social cohesion amongst natives and migrants? Particularly savage attacks are on the rise. Of a nature rarely seen in Ireland in the past. Background checks are necessary. Transparency with the public is necessary. And sadly, so too is locking your door. The Ireland we knew is gone and Gardaí are too busy over policing safe events like Bloom (attendees reported an extraordinary number of Gardaí present). I suppose that's understandable.
After all, God forbid someone might steal a plant.

Kadima Mbuye, 53, an asylum seeker from the Congo who has been living in Ireland for nine years, was charged at a special sitting of Newcastle West Court in Limerick on Sunday with intentionally engaging in offensive conduct of a sexual nature.
A patient in University Hospital Limerick recovering from major surgery last March said she was terrified after the Congolese man allegedly broke into her room in the middle of the night and started masturbating in front of her.
“She said she was scared to scream as she couldn’t physically move due to her surgery. She was terrified he was going to attack her,” said Detective Garda Fiona O'Connell.
Mbuye denies the charge but was denied bail.
In 2021, Mbuye was accused of threatening staff with a knife at the Travelodge Hotel in Ballymun.
His defence solicitor had told the court he was in discussion with the Dept of Justice in relation to voluntary repatriation but that it was a complex and lengthy process.

OPINION PIECE: The Aer Lingus flight takes you across Greenland. It is fascinating looking down on a land that you wouldn’t want to live in. Cold and inhospitable, it is difficult to believe that it is able to support a small population of native fisher families. But it wasn’t always like that. When the Norse settlers arrived in the 9th century they found a land that could be farmed and they did so for over four hundred years. They were the beneficiaries of global warming when they arrived and over four hundred years later they became the victims of global cooling. The last recorded reference to the Norse community in Greenland was a wedding in 1420AD. After that nothing. The community got trapped by global cooling, the growing season reduced, the sea lanes got totally clogged up with ice and the entire population died out. When the next boat made it through from Denmark three hundred years later there was no evidence of life although the ruins of their houses and churches remain to this day. It is a climatological fact that from 250BC to 400AD the climate warmed, this is referred to as the Roman Warming Period. The Norse Greenlanders became victims of what is now called the mini ice age which ended about 1850AD. But recent research shows that in fact there were three distinct cooling periods during the mini ice age interspersed with mild warming periods. Scientists have proposed numerous theories to explain this phenomenon but non have achieved universal scientific acceptance. Cyclical lows in solar radiation and variations in the earths orbit and orbital forcing have all been proposed. Reality is that nobody knows except that none of it was due to human activity. There were no ideologists then, the earth did its own thing, the climate changed and it was the job of the scientist to try to make sense out of observed phenomena. The ideologist approaches the problem differently. There ideology will give them the answer that they want and science has to try to cobble together some sort of a semi credible fitting together of observations to tally with the ideologists preconceived prejudices. Therefor we have the current belief that the earth is warming up. It probably is as this has happened in the past and certainly the Greenlanders again may become beneficiaries and who could begrudge them that. We may well become beneficiaries as well as we were during the Roman Warming Period. Based on the false science that humans are responsible for climate change our way of life and the entire economic pillars of this country are being undermined to satisfy an ideology that has never being subjected to rigorous scientific scrutiny. In practical terms a massive cull of cattle will take place over the next few years, a minimum of 200,000 productive cows will be killed to satisfy Green Party demands. A KPMG report commissioned by the Irish Farmers Journal suggeste 1•3 million cattle should be culled. Again this is to satisfy a Green Party belief that human activity, in this case farming, and the planet warming are linked. The best science comes from observational studies over time. The only practical observational studies are retrospective but we have vast amounts of evidence from retrospective studies that the planets climate changes are independent of human activity. The pseudoscience of climate change based on human behaviour is likely to be totally inaccurate and is not supported by the historical record but it is promoted for ideological reasons by internationalist ‘greens’ who have their vision of what Ireland shoulld look like within twenty years. A giant theme park with little farming activity, wet lands and rewilded ex farms and lots of weekend hikers and cyclists. A Green Party version of Disney land except that this madness is real with very real casualties and very real concerns around food security. Stick to the real science, see what the historical record tells us and stand up to the green ideologists and their bogus science.
