In a tiny community in #Santry, the elderly residents  are resisting the resettlement of over 300 young migrant men into their community. Some residents are in their 80's, yet they rise at 5.30am to protest.

Another example of an Irish community being ignored by their elected representatives @cllrdessieellis, @RoisinShortall, @PaulMcauliffe and @Fingalcoco.

Between January and April of this year 1,465 asylum seekers destroyed or lost their passports before arriving at Dublin Airport while 354 arrived with false travel documents according to an FOI request submitted by Newstalk.

That means at least 38% of the 3,628 seekers who arrived in Ireland in the first four months arrived with either no or fake travel documents.

Barry Whyte cautions that the figure could be higher though as some asylum seekers without documents arrive in Northern Ireland from Britain before travelling to Dublin but the Department of Justice has no idea how many.

You see article after article like this, where leftists claim the "far right" are taking advantage of frustrated communities. When they have to explain why most people in Ireland agree with the "far right" sentiment that Ireland shouldn't take any more migrants, they always say it's some kind of mistaken outlet for their real concerns which have nothing to do with immigration:

"The people who are drawn to protests in Ireland against asylum seekers and refugees are mostly those who feel powerless and frustrated in their own lives and communities."

Maybe the people drawn to protests against asylum seekers just don't want busloads of economic migrants dropped into their communities? Shouldn't left-wing journalists who present as the voice of the people actually listen to their concerns instead of trying to make them fit into their Marxist assumptions about how working class people think?

It's ironic because later in the article Fintan writes:

"The far right simultaneously degrades and elevates its followers."

Isn't this exactly what left-wing journalists like Fintan do? He presents this idealised version of the working class as class-conscious, plucky, colour-blind folks who who are also so stupid and easily misled that they keep mistakenly blaming their economic problems on asylum seekers and falling for the tricks of the "far right". So much so that 3 in 4 people have now been tricked into holding far right views on immigration!

On 8 June 2023, the European Council agreed to "modernise" the EU asylum & migration process, with this "modernisation" including:

1) The scrapping of the Dublin III Regulations - which provide that first Member State where fingerprints are stored or an asylum claim lodged is responsible for a person’s asylum claim - noting that these regs benefit Ireland more than most given our geographical location

2) The implementation of a "new solidarity mechanism", which will include relocation, financial contributions or deploying of personnel to build capacity etc. Note cost to "relocate" asylum seeker is to be set at €20,000 per head

This new agreement will still have to be voted upon given Dublin III Regulations are currently law. This is one area where significant lobbying will be needed, otherwise we will be forced to accept asylum applicants depending on our population size & GDP, or pay €20,000 pp that we do not wish to accept or cannot accommodate

A Limerick college student has waived her right anonymity in order to name the Nigerian man who was found guilty of raping her at the Cratloe Student Village in April 2018.

Utseoritselaju Uwatse (25), who moved to Ireland as a child, was sentenced to four years for the rape at the Central Criminal Court today.

Reading her victim impact statement to the court, she said:

“I don’t think there are any words that would convey the damage that you have done. The woman who is here today is broken down. I felt guilty for the heaviness I brought to my friends and family.”

A judge has refused to order the arrest of 53 asylum seekers which a communist organisation are using to occupy James Mac Sweeney House at 10 Berkeley Street in Phibsborough.

This, he said, was due to a lack of evidence before the court about the identities of the persons on the property.

He was not satisfied that all of those alleged to be in occupation have been made aware of the orders to vacate the premises previously made by the court.

Additional efforts must be made to ascertain the identities of those on the property, and that they be properly served with the proceedings before the orders sought could be granted, he said.
