خلاصه این مقاله:

People perform better if they are a big fish in a small pond (than a small fish in a big pond).

"the last student in the [best] class is about 10 percentage points less likely to become a manager two years after their expected graduation than a similar student in the [second-best] class. This implies that better-performing peers can significantly curb a student’s managerial career.”

This is the opposite of the famous "Matthew Effect" where people get a huge long term advantage if they get some initial luck. In fact, initial luck (ie getting in the best class) backfires. But the effect also goes away over time.

This is yet another piece of evidence that the Matthew Effect is overrated. I've now seen lots of contradicting evidence. We should put that theory to bed.

تو این کتاب در مورد common sense حرف میزنه
این نوع جملات که ما میبینیم تو فضای مجازی منبع درست و مشخصی ندارن
بلکه
تو ذهن این افراد make sense میکنه



یه مثال که میتونم بگم اینه:
اگه از بالای ساختمان پر و یه تیکه سنگ رو بندازیم پایین و اگه اصطکاک نباشه
کدوم یکی سریع تر میافته؟؟

کامن سنس میگه :‌ سنگ
کسی که فیزیک میدونه میگه جفتش باهم میان پایین
