- A method to establish age of organic materials (erstwhile living things)
- Living things have carbon in them and C14 (radioactive isotope of Carbon)
- C-14 reduces to half in 5730 years (hence, half-life)
- Ratio of C12 to C14 in organic remains is measured to deduce age of organism
- Carbon dating is not for non living things
- For non living things, methods like potassium-argon dating, uranium-thorium-lead dating can be uptaken

Some tips for Paper 1 (150 Q)

- 1.33 for every right answer and 0.44 for wrong
- Mathematically, you need 93-98 Qs correct to clear cut off
- After 118-120 Qs, avoid temptation to solve more if not sure
- Show up with absolute courage, no fear!
