Plankton:
- Microscopic organics which move only with current
- Can't propel themselves w/o external support
- Phytoplankton is most abundant type (it is an autotroph)

Autotrophs:
- Able to make own food via photosynthesis on consuming compounds like CO2

Heterotrophs:
- Can't produce own food
- Survive on bacteria and hence called baterivores

Chemosynthesis:
- A process to make own food by oxidizing Sulphur, Iron, or Hydrogen
- Often used by bacteria
