B. Aikido

1. Merit VS Spoil system

Merit

• Merit system promotes government employees based on their abilities

• Established in the U.S. after the Pendleton Act of 1883

Spoil

• Spoil system, where political parties reward supporters with jobs post-election

• Introduced in British India with introduction of ICS in 1858

2. Bonda tribe

• Lives in the Bonda Hills, Malkangiri district, Odisha, in isolated hilltop villages

• Women: "ringa" (strip of cloth) with bead necklaces, metal bands, and rings.
Men: loin cloths and carry bows and arrows

• They practice shifting cultivation and engage in hunting and gathering

• Traditional dance: Dhangingidi

• Traditional Music: The Bondas use simple, handmade musical instruments, such as dhol or mandal, flutes & others
