There comes a point in UPSC aspirant’s life where we realise we missed on young life experience.

We did not travel places,
We did not meet friends,
We did not make friends,
We did not earn money

Unfortunately, the aspirant to officer journey is not reaching a conclusion, either.

Such a realisation is scary.
You feel something drop in stomach
You feel legs weaker and gut cries

The parents are older, maybe even retired
It feels worthless to be a burden on them

Honestly, I’ve been there
More often than you think!

Despite cracking good exams and even cracking army recruitment (missing medical) I had felt I’m good for nothing.

If you’re relating to this story, I’ve just one thing to tell you (from experience)

Bhai sunn, Darr matt.

Side me kuch shuru kar. Time badlega. Tune mehnat ki hai imaandaari se toh darr matt.

Thoda si mehnat aur bass. Direction redesign kar, sab hoga. Upskill kar khud ko, bal buddhi vidya teeno par focus kar.

Tu bass darr matt!
