4. You are talking so much about compliance and ease of doing business, how do we do that? We stop regulating and stop approval business?
(I said automating approvals in general sectors that do not require sensitive checks and fast track humanized approvals for sensitive sectors on priority basis etc.)

1. There was a news headline- single window approvals on tiger habitating land. What do you mean by this? And what should we do about it?

Then they said okay your interview is over and said to check once what Yakshini is made of. As I was leaving mam added- bahar jaayega to pata chal hi jayega. I almost smiled and left.

Why did mahatma gandhi lay so much emphasis on cleanliness? (Wanted to listen it was central to his idea of eradication of untouchability, mentioned it)
Importance of stray dogs in ecosystem, what to do in case of rising population. (Mentioned about abc rules)
Long monologue, how humans are interfering with nature, we have sc and other institutions, we believe that we are superior. I said, mother nature is a leveller, was about to mention covid, himself mentioned it.
Then asked, what should we do, in order to stop these harmful impacts. (Sustainable development, resoponsible consumption, life initiative)
Freebies rising, made a situation, delhi will be suffering from sweltering heat, should we subsidize air conditioners.
Then, what is climate justice.
Should be impose a one time tax on rich, who purchase ac's (polluter pays principle, i said no, we should adopt a nudge approach)

Chairperson asked, if i want to have tea, i said no. He asked should we drink it, i said yes sir. Then he asked why are you not taking it, i said, i just had it before coming.

Being the secretary of chemical ministry, how would you promote chemical industry in india.
Then talked about salt industry in gujarat, challenges faced by them and solutions.

Tourism industry, why less potential, what can be done. (Making you the secretary)
Have you heard about shark tank (what is it)
Startup ecosystem ( how to promote as a secretary)
Suppose you are in a train from kanyakumari to anywhere, we see plastics everywhere, use your knowledge of chemistry to solve this.(Talked about 4r's as well as altrnatives such as biodegradable plastics for example pla)
Also behavioural aspects, talked in brief about indore model.

Chairman sir again:
Should we collect all of this plastic and burn it and end it at once. ( I talked about dioxins and other carcinogens)
He said we will burn it away from settlements where there is no one(i talked about airshed approach, and how delhi suffers due to this too)
Then he asked how to recycle. ( Talked some initiatives)
Chairman sir said thank you, you may leave.

Overall experience - Good, much more of a conversation rather than an interview.

3. Who is the president of India? Where is she from? I answered wrongly that she is from Jharkhand. He said Yes. Then another member intervened and said no she’s from neighbouring state of Odisha. Then member asked what I have learned from her life? Then rephrased his question and asked me details about her life. Mam intervened and asked me “Do you know anything about her life?” I said no mam, not before she became president. Mam laughs – “jab ise pata hi nahi toh bataega kaise ki kya seekha hai” - oouch
