- you're one of the youngest candidate we've interviewd. 2002 born

Chairman
- you've done BA in history and political science, what is the difference between both.
( sir history talks about the past of polity, like the books by Chanakya and other last events. However Political science talks about statecraft how the state is run in today as well as ancient times.)

- you're a student of history, what can we say changed after Ashoka adopted Buddhism. Does turning towards spirituality lead to a decrease in the once political state or empire?
( sir i believe that turning towards spiritualism has a soft power dynamics and it does not lead to anything bad for the empire. In fact it leads to more control over the world. Eg. India too is leading in it by Project Mausam in the South East and Yoga and recently WHO too recognised the Traditional knowledge of India. So I believe such things lead to more power. )

- what if your CM wants to make a rule on adultery as to criminalise it, what will you do or talk to him. Because it has been struck down from the IPC, but how will you do it then.
( sir I would like to follow the supreme Court guidelines in this)
But then you won't be able to make the policy
( sir then I'll have to neutralize both the sides. Like punishment can be reduced, minimal fines can be imposed to have both ends meet.)

- sustainable development. What scheme is there for compressed bio gas.
(He himself told about the scheme)
- why so less such plants have been created under it?
( sir believe that the focus on solar as a first priority has led biogas on the sidelines. Next because of technology gap. Also sir such schemes require capex and the shortage of it could be a factor)

- what all can we use to make biogas
( sir rice husk can be used. Also rice stubble can be used. Spoiled grains can be used We now use sugarcane also for the same.)
- what is SATAT scheme and when was it started?
(Sorry sir i cannot recall)

- you're a student of sociology. What is sociology of power.
( sir this concept is given by Michael Foucault who talks about that discourse is power that is the ideas and narrative have inherent power in them)
- how will you increase the motivation of the people who work under you.
( sir firstly I'll do self reform because only when I'm giving in more hours and efficiency then there can be shift. Next sir we'll create an app to give points to staff in terms of their efficiency. And lastly sir since I'm the head of the department I can make some tweaks in the ACR too to impart efficiency)

- how will you justify remixing. Some sections do not want it to be done.
(Sir I'll quote Aasha Bhosle mam on this that the retro music should not be remixed just for the sake of doing it and because there are no new songs but it should be remixed to keep the long life of music.)

- who all are the music directors you like to remix with.
( sir AR rehman)
But he is not retro
( oh sir you're asking who from retro. Then sir Jaidev, Lakshmikant pyarelal and RD burman sir)
Why
( sir I like the way the use highs and lows of music for eg. In songs of Kishore kumar sir)

- you've average score in class 10th. why is there a sudden jump in 12th percentage. Because we usually see the reverse. What changed?
( sir in10th I was also a part of school band. So because of that. Also sir in 12th I had aimed for Delhi University so I started giving in more hours into it.

- how to curb the illifects of media today on youth.
- what is the role of khap. Like seen in the farmer issues. - khap has a negative as well as positive role as you said. So how to balance it out.

- why youth migrating to outside. why. And how to solve it
- Haryana has a low contribution of tourism into its GDP. how to increase the tourism of Haryana

(Could not remember more questions)

One on one with Shubham sir (Vidyapeeth IAS) : most effective and confidence giving sessions with sir. Many questions found repetition in the actual interview.

Utility of Mocks and O2Os - Helps in confidence building, gives exposure to senior bureaucrats and helps in assessing our thought process when countered on our perspectives. Few mocks and O2Os were hugely demoralising. Choose the panels and one on ones wisely while preparing and don't let your confidence get dim. Thanks to each and everyone who has stood along over the last four months.
