In Bihar only 11.3% people i.e 1.176 crore (according to Census-2011) live in urban areas, which is much smaller than the all India average of 31.2%.

In Bihar the situation of industries is very bad whether it's Mineral based, agro based or other industries. It only contributes 20% to the GSDP.

Bihar has comparative advantage in terms of agro-based industries. BIADA reported ₹ 742.5 crore investment b/w 2017 to 2019 in Agro-Based Industries.

Although Bihar Bihar lags in mineral resources but in terms textiles and tourism Bihar has very bright scope.The only need is to liberalise policies.

Rivers in Bihar can be classified into two categories i.e. (I) Rivers of Both Bihar(Himalayan origin) and (II) Rivers of South Bihar(Plateau origin).
