Responsibilities: 
Monitor Security Alerts: Continuously monitor security alerts and events from various security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems. 
Incident Triage: Analyze and prioritize security incidents based on their severity, scope, and impact on the organization. 
Initial Investigation: Perform the first level of investigation on potential security incidents, identifying the nature of the threat, its origin, and its potential impact. 
Escalation: Escalate incidents to higher-level analysts or other IT teams if they require deeper investigation or immediate action. 
Documentation: Accurately document incidents, analysis findings, and steps taken in the incident management system. 
Communication: Coordinate and communicate effectively with other team members, IT staff, and stakeholders during incident handling. 
Maintain Awareness: Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. 
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures and assist in preparing reports on security metrics. 
Requirements: 
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity concepts. Familiarity with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies is a plus. 
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. 
Certifications: Entry-level certifications like CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or any basic cybersecurity certification are desirable. 
Availability: Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as SOC operations are 24/7.
